True true especially he didn't go for it like search for answers for his it's real parents or even trying becoming more than just an assistant or an ambassador. Spike is my favorite because he's willing to put up with everything his so-called friends put him through. Anyone else will lose their s*** and run away screaming cursing their names or just kill themselves. Not to mention how some of his adventures shows that he's more capable than just being a side character.

Yeah but still he deserves better since true he may have friends and appreciated and a good at what he dose but hes more or less a indentured servant or even a pet, with him sleeping in a dog bed for most of the show, and lord know what he missed out if he was raced by his own kind both the good and the bad! But can we all agree the fact that the real reason why he suffered like this is because of a certain princess that was very too trustworthy to let him be raised by these girls. Who didn't know what has he gone through or or ask any problems happening to him. Not realizing the fact that the girls are focused on trying to their lives and trying to protect their home. I mean that's like a lot of stress to deal with man. So of course he's going to suffer a lot and not to mention she didn't provide any information on how to take care of a dragon not even ask the dragon lord who she known a long time ago. For ways to way to raise Spike and things not to do that could harm a dragon. Not to mention not finding any guys to hang out with. I mean come on Big Mac and Discord and shine armor also have lives to focus on as well. Most of them do have time for him but not always. Not to mention help him how to become a man.

Facts and Celestia may seem wise at times but honestly shes pretty dumb on many things like always depend on Twilight and her friends to solves a friendship problem, like how a 8 year old should, and to save the day when it could of gone wrong and bad on so many levels and one reason or another screw them, her and the whole kingdom! Shes supposed to be a god like being yet she cant be bothered to do more then send her pupil on childish quests without any military (if it can even be called a military) support/back up with some of them or deal some of the problems herself!
Honestly wont surprise me if she was trying to find new bearers of the elements after Luna's banishment and was mostly a shot in the dark and finally got lucky with Twilight. Who after took over screwed up everything in a couple decades!

Dude I totally thought the same idea as well I mean come on you send six individuals of citizens with no experience of combat or no knowledge of what they're facing against. Just a chance of risk. I could be very serious you man. I don't know who is the wrong here on the one hand the princesses and the girls are just trying to save the world and the other hand a bunch of complete idiots not realizing how much trouble they put in themselves into and everyone else they know and love. Also the many lives on the planet that are entrusted in on them to protect them. I feel like most of their friendship missions The Dangerous Ones were just plain luck. Not realizing that they could die one day in those missions. You and I sort of think alike. But I don't know maybe a little bit different.

And got to admit some of the ponies are pretty racist and xenophobic in a way, sure could be a culture thing with saying everypony and such and thinking for their own kind then other races like others would but still. Like the griffon capital when they lost their artifact, I have a hard time thinking Celestia wasn't made aware of it and could of send some help their way but didnt for whatever reason. And when Queen Chrysalis infiltrated the capital and posed as a pony Celetsia pretty much knew for years and didnt got suspicious when not acting like herself or trusted Twilight since shes very close to Cadence and her friends didnt side with her despite only knowing her for like a week when she knew her since childhood! And wont surprise me if Shining only really got to be captain threw being with Cadence and Twilight being Celestia's teacher pet and not really earning it. As well maybe Celestia more or less kept Twilight from her family her whole life to study under her and let her go back home for holidays and such

Damn! After reading both of your comments, heavily criticizing Spike's poor treatment, along with Celestia's very poor judgment using regular citizens as their "only" defense for Equestria, not to mention very poor military as well.
Do you think that this is cruel irony that them being defeated by the Caribou seems like a HUGE wake up call to reality and Karma for all those mistakes you two have listed in the past?

Aside from this being a fall of equestria story but it is going to focus more on Spike and Rex living with the Mamonos.
Spike has always been undermined by the main six constantly, Rex knows this because of he was isekai/displaced into equestria. Rex saw Spikes potential, constantly raising him up and teaching Spike (hints earth terms and otherwise). I’m going to have a few chapters dedicated to Spike rather than Rex who is the MC.
I wanted to make Spike a badass in this setting and have him get over his rejection from Rarity. Along with giving him Mamono girls that actually give a chance and don’t use him like rarity has done a million times before.
It wasn’t just from the 1,000 years of peace and constantly relaying on the elements (even though that is a major factor). But the caribou used surprise attacks and overwhelming numbers throwing bodies at equestrian defenders. While the caribou are raised in the harsh northlands and hunted they’re not exactly fighters.
Sure they might had some experience after taking the crystal empire but due to how fast they took over and went to equestria right afterwards. They’re pretty much burnt out at the moment, so when the Mamonos arrive to the party?
They might have been asleep for many centuries, but to them they were fighting United pony tribes who were allied by some Mamonos who turned turncoat. Now I haven’t mention it in the story but the Demon empire held back the United force quite well but were eventually pushed back .
I’m going to stop myself before I spoil even more.
