It's never easy, loving someone who doesn't feel the same way...and it can't get any easier when immortality means you're not likely to make such close friendships with anyone outside your pre-established circle. My only nitpick was Starlight suddenly having wings in chapter 2. Good luck with the contest!

Remember that, in this story, Twilight has been carrying a torch for Pinkie for decades and likely stewing in jealousy over Cheese the whole time. Her comment might be out of pocket and out of character, but I don't find it too strange for the situation.
