On the Eve of the Summer Sun Celebration, the forsaken Princess, Nightmare Moon returns to claim her vengeance upon the ones who had shunned her and her night. As Nightmare appears and lashes out at Twilight, a rushed defense spelled causes an unknown being to crash onto the scene right after Nightmare, saving the lavender unicorn in the process. With a cocky grin and devil don’t care attitude, the unknown blue creature smirks and challenges the Nightmare without a second thought.

Sweet! a new Sonic and MLP crossover, can't wait to read more and see what the blue blur and eggy have in store for Equstira.
I called it. When nightmare about to attack. Sonic and eggman crashing and started fighting and arguing like an old married couple.
The blue creature turned toward her and raised an eyebrow, blinking. “Okay… correction. Colorful talking horses. Now it’s the weirdest day.” He shot an annoyed look at his round companion. “Alright, what did you break this time, Eggman?”
“Me?! This isn’t my doing, you meddlesome rodent!” The one called Eggman barked back, struggling to his feet. “If anyone’s to blame, it’s you and your incessant interference!”
But add more stuff about other events that are similar like this and the ponies being all confused.
Example:
Sonic: * counting while using his fingers*
1: The time you found the deadly six.
2: during the one time that you woke up the god of chaos and nearly flooded the world
3: you broke the planet apart to make plans to use dark Gaia
4: your metal virus
Etc...
And eggman doing the same thing how Sonic's fault was also to blame.
What ponies hear: blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah random random random random planet destroyed water water flooding chaos then something about a virus

Once they have time to learn the full story, I feel that they'll both be traumatized and very amazed that Sonic and his friends went through all of that, and won.

Yeah I know it's boom sonic but I was doing like a joke example. Also to me boom eggman is a just a funny little man not really evil. The only examples I can think of the eggman did something evil..... Would being terrible roommate and turning Sonic's friend evil made by cookies with DNA from his mustache. Those are the only examples I can think of and I haven't played the Sonic boom games; so I don't know anything evil that eggman did.

You might wanna count them out. Sonic Boom takes place in a separate universe that’s not connected to the games. Well, excluding their own games like Fire and Ice and such.
why isn't the rest of team sonic coming over to the mlp verse?
I can definitely see Twilight and Eggman rivaling their intellect on who builds the best invention when this is all over.
