The beginning of my first dark and serious story. Honestly, I'm terrified of how this will turn out since I've never written about anything so serious, certainly not about a main character who has no qualms about killing. I hope this turns out OK.
Also, yes, the OC is inspired by the Trace from Metroid Hunters. That game is beast and deserves a sequel, especislly since the other hunters survive in the good ending.
"Througb" needs t' be through, an' besides that, the story is solid, yet so down. I'm goin' t' favorite this t' see how it comes along.

Yes, that stuck out a bit for me as well! But aside from that, this is a pretty solidly written story so far with a very interesting twist on the "exiled changeling" story formula. You don't often see such dark changeling OCs, so Trace definitely brings something new to the party. It's criminal that this doesn't have more views!
I think I'll be adding the gore tag to this story. This is the most violent thing I've ever written.

I dunno, they're not *that* graphic compared to some of the dedicated 'gore' stuff on here. Don't get me wrong, it's still pretty violent (not complaining though!) but I think 'dark' covers it sufficiently... for now, at least.

I don't know why I'm still reading this, but for some demented reason I am favoring it.
I really dislike all the errors and the pacing, but I love the story itself and Trace himself.

So... when is Trace going to meet Sky, Nictis, and those two worker changelings of whom I forget the name of? Will he ever meet them? I figured this is the same world as Fragments and Without a Hive, simply because of the similarities. The Title, the "badlands", the chitin, and the way changelings feed.
