Not to get too sidetrack from this story, but SWWC is one of my ongoing series that leans more into dark and gore. Basically, the story is about how the citizens of Equestria survive after the main six go missing, jumps back and forth between a 17-month span and different characters for each month. Sort of an anthology, but all months are canon to each other and have a small overlap with villains and certain events. Only the side stories really dip into clop action and act as either extra material or extra months I couldn't explore in the original format.
The side stories are found here, but I do need to update this list in July
Moreover, the post that was supposed to come out today deals with a big reveal for one of the villains, shown in the art cover. However, since the artist wasn't finished I had to postpone. And thus I had this random one shot finished, so I just dropped it without warning

Yeah, AI art covers can sometimes be a useful writing inspiration. And really people have been bitching at me a lot about posting the Derpi art page more often.. even if it is AI art. However, my next few surprise clops drops will actually be inspired by non AI, through you pay attention to what my other covers are when it comes to clops, you can figure out the artist pretty quickly.

Talking about story-wise. Because, next July, I'm planning a role reversal of this story where Spike is in search of his own secretary to relieve the work and stress load. But that one will be a multiple-chapter sort of take on the Bachelor series where he has to choose between 13 mares.

Honestly, I don't care if someone uses art made by an artist, or art made by an AI for their stories as at this point it's a helpful visual aid for the reader. No hate to the story, the story is awesome.

No sequels planned for this, like a lot of my clops and other one-shots. I only go back if the drive for more was there in the beginning. Now I did say earlier in the comments that I have a reversal planned for July in which Spike has to choose between 13 possible secretaries, bachelor TV show style. Maybe in that one I will explore more into Spike's role as the show's canon secretary.
And really, that is what inspired this tale, Spike is very much Twilight's secretary in the show, there are no, if, or buts, about it. He has several scenes in the show where he's doing Twilight's paperwork, making deliveries, and such for Twilight. I half considered making this a Twispike story, but her sleeping with him out of the blue like this would seem rather odd and hard to pace without just jumping right into the action. No, by making it Mayor Mare, I can introduce strange actions and cues from a different character hiring Spike and have him take note of that to build up to the action. Like her drooling over him, telling him to constantly bend over, in an earlier draft, she was going to have him put on several suits showing off his muscles and such.
And really, its a nice flip for the classic trope of sexy secretary to be this strong and handsome male, rather than a dumb blonde with a massive rack. Also, now I have a gilf story on my list, such a rare find... even if I could have leaned into that more. Yes, folks, Mayor Mare has been around since before the apple parents died, so as far as I'm concerned she is a gilf.

Yeah, I've had several stories that I've slaved over so much harder than this and get completely ignored because there was no cover art. Yeah, a little clickbaity, but nowhere near as bad as some Youtuber will be.
For me, as long the cover gives has the main character on screen, doing something remotely to what happening in the story, that's is an automatic choice... or I can be looking up my favorite 3D artists and get inspired for some great ideas. Spoilers for later fics
Nothing wrong with commissioning some art, but if I had enough money to pay for covers of every single one-shot that popped into my mind, I would be a billionaire. Saving the cash for the important fics, while find some random image on Google for those that crazy one shot that popped into my mind and won't leave me alone. That's my logic.

Sorry, but no, I'm not putting down cash in any form for these kinds of one shots, let alone enough to make a comic. Unlike what a lot of bots in the DMS think, I'm not made of money. I will only put down cash for important story covers and character commissions.
I don't have enough money to invest in random one offs, no matter how good the ratings are. Be glad I'm doing a multi-chapter in July, that's my limit.
