I don't think warnings for the existence of a gay character is really necessary. I like including very explicit mentions to the main character's sexuality early on so people don't feel like they get surprised by it. Anything naughtier then hand holding will be marked in the chapter itself though, regardless of the gender of the people doing the devil's handshake.
