Fantastic start, thought I'd never see a sequel and I am very thankful that you've given us one. Loved Ava's reaction after waking up back in Equestria and her reaction to screaming like a banshee.
(I may also have had been thinking of classic Simpsons moments such as Bart's prank calls to Moe's tavern, such as "I wanna tinkle", "A man and hug and kiss" etc)
Anyways great start, I'm looking forward to seeing how Ava will help Twilight and the others with finding the captured ponies and finding out who or what is responsible behind it all.
Ah. loved the character too much, so just had to do a spin-off sequel. Can't say I blame you. Ava is quite unique and certainly colorful.

Like the first rule is that if your foe does not like being predictable don't loudly announce your prediction of him where he can hear it. (Unless as a scheme against them.) Keep those thoughts to yourself unless you want him to change tactics to regain the unpredictability.

It would make a kind of sordid sense, that the Element crown might be more aligned to Ava rather than Twilight, since it was Ava who used it before.

This does make me wonder if, without her Ponyville friends, she continued to live in Canterlot. Apparently she's not much of a friendship student, yet. But she's learning!
Wow, she must be so stressed about what Celestia thinks about her not having saved her sister. At the same time, I'm very excited for Luna to meet the pony that did save her! Maybe Ava will end up being Lunas student...
