In the morning, it was peaceful. Afternoon, however? Scootaloo was wishing she had invented a time machine and stopped herself.

This story was written over the course of about 4 months, slowly. But it was only ever a one-shot, and I never went back to edit old parts. If you see a glaring grammatical mistake, I will fix it. Please and thank you.

That was both wholesome and amusing.

This was a nice story.

lovely story but controversial opinion Mother + Sister should be Sother

When Twiligtht explained her story about Spike: For a few seconds I thought she indicated herself and RD was Spikes parents. Fun moment.

cute story, I wonder what story I shall read hmm

honestly you could do a sequel about twilight and spike, with rainbow unintentionally opening the flood gates, making both think about their family relationship

Very sweet fic, and more... genuinely reflective? than I was expecting. (In a good way, of course!) I know plenty of folks do write Dash as being capable of introspection and mature navigation of feelings, because she is, but it's still refreshing any time I see it tackled as opposed to the more commonly portrayed part of her that hates dealing with complicated emotions (which is also canon to her! She's a nuanced character!)

Also, I feel like this should have Spike and Twilight character tags, because it's as much about them as it is about Dash and Scoots - and I do also like that you landed on a more complex answer about what they are to each other than I feel like I usually see, which is either "mom and son or brother and sister" or "both, but played for comedy rather than pathos".

I thought so for a moment (heh... MOMent :trollestia:) too, especially given Cxcd's noted love for Twidash

Awwww, that was sweet!

I know a language where 'Aba' means "Father"

This was awesome. Thank you for it.

Also, since you asked about typos...

...breaking up the otherwise remarkable skyline.

...did you mean unremarkable?

Wholesome!!
The ways it ended (both Twi's and RD's stories) was not what I expected, but that's good.

That was adorable! Love the relationship between Scoots and Dash! Great Story!

“It doesn’t matter what he is, Rainbow!” Twilight shouted back. “He’s my little brother! Our relationships in life- it doesn’t matter if we’re related, it doesn’t matter if we’re not. It doesn’t matter if we’re different species, and it doesn’t matter if we’re clones! If we both decide we’re siblings, then that’s it! That’s final! It doesn’t- none of this matters! This is a pointless conversation! We’re learning nothing by having this conversation!”

BASED! ALL OF THIS! ALL OF THE YES!:moustache:

“We can stay siblings, Scoots.” Rainbow laid down so she was eye-level with her. “I accept the fact that I might do more than a normal sister does for their sibling, but I also accept the fact that we’re not exactly normal siblings. I might act more like a mom to you than I used to, but we’re sisters, Scoots.”

This is a correct statement. Period.

well as a fanatical devotee of sibling relationships, this was painfully cute.

And Twilight... Well...

What can I say but Twilight is BASED.

Came for the Scootadash, stayed for the Spikelight.

I've had this strangely similar experience after my mom adopted our step niece to our family. It was an awkward talk about certain responsibilities. Whoever wrote this.
+1 for you.

This was wonderful, but i really wish there was more at the end. Though I'd probably wish that no matter the length, since is a story i don't want to stop reading ever.

Adorable story, well done. :rainbowkiss:

Dew and mildew are very different. I don't think that you meant that the trees had fungus growing on them. Try: "Dew was still glistening on the trees".

If you're going to break the word orphan into syllables, it should be or-phan, not orp-han.

It is a lovely story, though I don't know why so many fans still ignore Scootaloo's canon backstory with her traveling parents and her aunts.

It still makes me laugh that they gave her like four parents, but no, she's still an orphan forever.

It wasn't the resolution I was hoping for, but it was interesting nonetheless.

Because that’s a terrible episode

HEY SHE SAID THE M WORD!!!!!!!

*proceeds to beat the living shit out of her*

I had been expecting a lot from this classical masterpiece, and I was not disappointed. The ending still came as unexpected, but that's also what makes a story so great: beeing taken by surprise.

A great job you did here!

the M word on Rainbow dash

I can't believe Rainbow Dash would say the M word, how DARE she?! 😡😡😡😡

Jokes aside, cute story!
