As a certain old man from a certain Harry Potter story once said: "It takes a great deal of courage to stand up to your enemies, but just as much to stand up to your friends." Silverspeed needs to realize that the problem isn't in her sister being a bully since she doesn't seem to have the motivation to actually be one. The real problem is that Silver Spoon can't find the courage to stand up to Diamond Tiara who herself can't find the courage to stand up her bully: her mother.
Speaking of Diamond, I can't help but wonder if something is going on in her household that follows a similar thread to what happened in "The Group Chat."

When we found out in later seasons that the Riche family is longtime business partners with the Apple family, Diamond's antagonizing of Apple Bloom makes less sense.

I don't think they're the only ponies who plant apple trees. We've seen an Apple family reunion. That family is fucking huge. They even got family up in Manehatten so it's safe to say more of their family sells apples.

Zap Apple Jam. Filthy's grandfather made a deal with Granny Smith's father that the Riches would get the first wagon full made every year. If the Apples instead sold it all themselves, Filthy would lose a big chunk of his income. Remember that at the end of the episode where we learned of Zap Apple Jam and part of the history of Ponyville, Filthy made Diamond help out with making it in an attempt to stay on the Apples' good side.
It's pretty surprising when Sunset Shimmer is good with kids I mean in reality I should see she herself had said that she's not a monster and there are certain lines that she would not cross
I for one think diamond tiara had that coming again. There are certain lines you do not cross and I most certainly would have decked her pompous little douchebag ass for calling someone retard much less bringing up family members like that as somebody with autism, that's a line that I most certainly would never forgive tolerate or cross
