This story is a sequel to The Daughter Doo: Honorary Cutie Mark Crusader

Dinky Doo is growing up.

Now that the dust of her first adventure has settled, she is resuming her life as a seemingly ordinary unicorn schoolfilly. She is discovering more and more of herself everyday, mostly in the form of her unique wind magic, the sole inheritance left to her by her late alicorn father.

Lately, though, she feels trapped.

To answer her distress, a mysterious visitor descends upon the busyness of the impending Summer Sun Celebration. He promises her that she can be more than the unremarkable ponies around her. He proposes a price for his generosity, which is not one that she can afford to pay. But when tragedy strikes, she finds that she has no more to lose.

The story sort of starts in media res.

i remember i read tthe orginal story way back then. What got you the idea, if i may ask?

And Word, dispite a new story, didnt show up in the new story section for me.

And the first 12, 6 chapter, I really thought yu messed up the order by accident at first.

Dinky's a brave filly still.

nicely done and what a twist but great!

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. Originally, the entirety of this story existed solely to provide a context in which Dinky could awaken her latent alicorn powers. I read the original story and thought on the amount of potential in the concept of a unicorn who has the soul of an alicorn. I hope that I realized that potential to its fullest degree.

nice work but pinkie's long part, must have been a pain

nice work and good reference at the end

It wasn't much of a hassle to write. Revising it, on the other hand...
