Wow it's really good great work

All of the characters in this story are ponies and are well above 18 years old in human years;

Then how is foalcon?

Human years and Equestrian years are different I think

They are but you've got it backwards. The pony Mane 6 were already adults in season 1 but in EQG we see they are still teenagers, highschoolers at that. This includes Twilight who went from pony to human. Considering Big Mac is older then them and he's still in high school in the first EQG movie that makes the Mane 6 juniors (16-17) at the oldest. This means the ponies are considered adults at a younger age.

But is that Earth? I get they are in humanoid form, but they have pink/blue etc skin, so I would wager it’s not earth. So my rationale is that while they are younger in the EQG, on our earth, they may be a different age. After all, there are ponies have ostensibly remained “young” during many of our earth years (eg the CMC who have remained young for the nearly decade on the show was shown on our earth).

True but EQG is the closest to "earth" and "humans" as we're going to get and is at the moment the most canon answer we'll likely ever have. Also while the show had gone on for nearly a decade that doesn't mean the same amount of time had passed in the MLP world. In fact it had been specifically stated in the last episode of season 8 that only 1 semester had passed since the school of friendship started up in the first episode of the same season. By Twilights own statement 1 season equals 1 school semester or roughly 1/3 of a year. Doing the math all 9 seasons of the show would equal roughly 3 years.

Coincidently this even lines up with the EQG timeline. We don't get the first EQG movie till after season 3 (1 year after season 1 started) the Mane 6 of the EQG world are at best juniors as previously stated in my last comment. If the MLP show ends in season 9 (2 years later) this would be around the time the EQG students would have graduated high school. Although we don't see them going to collage we see the human 7 showing some independence in the last special where they're traveling alone, overnight in an RV for a concert.

Cool, I definitely learned something today. Thank you for your explanation. I haven’t watched the show much yet, so it’s nice to learn the details you have pointed out!

Another measurement is the number of Summer Sun Celebrations, which are annual, and which the show starts on. Three are seen, not four, so 2-3 years pass during the show.
This mostly lines up with things, but the number of Hearth's Warmings is crazy high compared to everything else, note. Ultimately three years makes sense.
Which means the CMC are like, 12 by the show's finale.
