*One week after the coal town massacre*
Have you ever had one of those days where you feel like there's a song in your heart? Well, I actually had one. After making sure that Coal Town was cleaned up, I was beginning to repair the generator for a week.
But for some reason... I was in a singing mood. And in a Disney mood, too. To Spike and Twilight, it's basically the norm when we break out in song. So, they don't freak out when I do it. Sometimes, it's contagious! Like this morning, for example. (Blue is Spear,Green is Spike,Orange is Scootaloo, and Purple is Twilight. Red is everyone.)

We looked at each other and laughed happily at our performance. We then headed for the kitchen for breakfast as Spike finished making it.
Twilight smiled as she saw Scootaloo and Spear humming and said, "Starting the day with a musical number already? Somepony's in a good mood today."
I chucked as I said, "Oh, just happy about today. Hehe!"
Spike then brought us breakfast, and it was delicious. "Great job with breakfast as usual, Spike! Do you mind if I handle dinner tonight?"
Spike nodded as he swallowed and said, "Sure, but you don't have -"
"I insist Spike. You do a lot here with helping Twilight and all, and I'm more than willing to help." I told him, And I meant it. He does a lot for Twilight, and I wanted to help with that load.
I then took another bite as I asked, "So, what's on everyone's agenda today?"
Scootaloo smiled as she said, "Well...me and the rest of the cmc Are gonna go for a mountain climbing cutie mark today."
I then stared at the filly in question and said, "As long as Big Mac is going with you. We don't need another cheesecake incident like last time."
Twilight then gave an admittedly cute, confused look and asked, "What's the cheesecake incident?"
I sighed. What was Twi doing that she never heard of it? "Well, remember the cheesecake factory that opened up here a few months ago?"
Twilight nodded as I sighed and continued, "Well, long story short, Scootaloo and the others wanted to get cutie marks in cheesecake making... and accidentally blew up the factory."
Twilight slowly blinked as she stared at Spike, who said, "There was cake mix and dariy products everywhere. And the factory had to close down because of that."
Twilight frowned a bit as she also heard some positive reviews from the place. But at least the cakes don't have to worry about competition anymore. "Too bad. That could've been a date- Errm, PLACE to go."
I gave Twilight A.J.'s brow rise with one of my signature Smirks, making her blush all the more intensively.
Though...*sigh* I sighed as I remembered something that was coming up. "Spear? What's wrong?" Twilight asked concerned.
She already saw me, so I decided to spill the beans. "*Sigh* Well, as you know, it's Scootaloo's birthday tomorrow, and -"
Spike, unfortunately, interrupted my thought to say, "Oh, I'm so excited! We're gonna celebrate her first birthday at the castle! Actually, her birthday WILL be the first one we celebrate at the castle, too. I can't WAIT to party with my fourteen year old little sis!"
I smiled as I remembered how grown up my daughter was getting. While she still doesn't have her cutie mark yet, I have a feeling it's happening sooner than we think.
"Well, like Spike said, it's Scootaloo's fourteenth birthday tomorrow, but I'm STILL trying to find to get the perfect gift for her." I said in an exhausted tone. Between cleaning Coal Town, repairing the respwan generator, and helping with ponyville, I've been scrambling to get a present for my daughter.
Twilight then looked at me with that cute smile of assurance as she put her hoof on my hand and said "I'm sure you'll find the perfect gift for her. After all, who knows her better then you?"
I smiled as I realized she's right. I AM her father after all. I can find the perfect present for her. "Thanks, Twi. I needed that."
I saw Twilight then look at the clock as she said " Wait, 9 A.M?! Spike, can you go and grab the things you wanna bring? Applejack SHOULD be by to help with the cart shortly."
I looked confused as she said that. "What's going on Twi? You guys going somewhere?"
Twilight looked confused as asked "You don't remember what day it is today?"
"Hmmm...a Tuesday? Why?"
Twilight gave me a one of Twilight's classic risen brows as it clicked what I missed. Oh boy, how did I forget?! "OH NO!!! The rainbow falls trade exchange! I completely forget about it! Oh, I'm so sorry I forgot Twi."
Twilight sighed as she sat next to me and said "It's ok, we've been so busy that I also forgot till yesterday, and I thought you already knew."
"*Sigh*, it's ok. I have work today anyways. Maybe I can go with you next time?" I said in a sad tone. This definitely stings a bit.
Twilight then nuzzled my cheek and said "I'll try and get you something for you and Scootaloo at the trade exchange, ok?"
I gave her a weak smile and said "Heh, that'd be nice. Thanks."
Twilight then walked outside as she packed her stuff in the wagon. I looked at the clock again, and realized that I was gonna be late to coal town. So, I finished breakfast, and headed out for the train station. Though, I couldn't shake the feeling that something extremely annoying was about to happen.
I arrived in Coal Town like normal. The sky was blue, and there was a air of calm and peace in the area. *record scratches* Wait...peace and calm?! Oh no, that's not a good sign!
I ran to town and saw that it was empty...was I early? Well, I might as well get into ambush range and get ready to pick off any blue team members at are near by.
I went to the locker room to get my gear and..."Ok, where's my suit? My mask? My kunai? My dead ringer?!"
I looked in my gun holder and I was paralyzed In shock. "My death shot...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" My mind may or may not have fried after that.
"Whoa Whoa Whoa, what's going on here?!" I slowly turned and saw Thespio and Maddy behind me as Maddy said "Yeah, we heard a filly screaming and came to see what was wrong."
"...My gear...somepony stole my gear...."
*Normal P.O.V*
Spear looked defeated,unable to think as Thespio inspected the locker in question an as said, "Wow, this locker looks cleaned out. Gear and all-"
"GAAAAAAH!!! MY GEAR! SOMEPONY STOLE MY GEAR!" Maddy's yell snapped Spear out of his state and he and Thespio went over to see.
Spear then said concerned as he said "Wait, you too?!"
"You daft man? Of course my gear got pilfered too! They even took brave heart, AND my oatmeal rasin cookies!" Maddy said, devastated at the theft.
Thespio then looked worried as he ran to his locker and saw "What the?! My gears gone too!"
Spear then looked confused and said "So, wait. If this wasn't a prank from either red or blue teams...then that means...!"
"It would appear that we have a thief on the premises." The three then turned to find Doc behind them. Looking crossed at the development.
Thespio looked at Doc confused as he said "Wait, how did you know our gear was stolen before we told you Doc?"
Doc then gave a shocked expression and said "Wait, our gear was stolen too?!" Doc ran to his locker and saw that his equipment was gone too. "Oh, this is terrible! First the respwan generator gets stolen, and now our equipment gets stolen from underneath our noses too."
Spear then stopped a moment as he noticed "Wait, what about the respwan generator?"
Doc sighed and said, "Perhaps it's better if I showed you what happened."
They followed Doc to the room where the respwan generator was usually kept, and saw that it was gone, with Firebrand investigating the incident. Maddy was the first one to comment and said "Are you joking? Not only they stole our gear, but they also took the blasted generator too?!"
Doc signed as he said "Yes, it would appear that the theif not only stole ALL of our gear last night, but also the respwan generator last night. This would appear to be quite troublesome."
Firebrand, looking a irritated, turned to Doc and said, "Troublesome would be putting it mildly. They LITTERLY stole the clothes of our backs! This is a incredible security leak for Coal Town!"
Spear, after collecting himself, then said "Ok, maybe we should figure out who stole our gear first. If we do that, then it's possible they either have our gear, or know who they sold it to. Now, do we know who was on night guard, or if the security cameras caught something?"
Firebrand then said, "Well, I know I left Toonkritic on night guard last night. And he should be here in half a hour or so."
Spear nodded and said "Ok, let's check the cameras and see what happened, then question Toon when he gets here."
As the gang walked to the security room, his phone rang and revealed to be Princess Luna.
Hello?
Hello our baby boy! It's your mom, Princess Luna, calling. We wanted to ask if your up for lunch in the castle?
Oh, that's a sweet invite. But were currently under a investigation at the moment. See, our gear got stolen, and-
WHAT?! HOW DARE THEY STEAL FROM OUR BABY!!! HOLD ON, MAMA'S ON OUR WAY!!!
"W-Wait mom, you don't-" Spear said in a panic as a pulse of indigo magic appeared in front of the gang.
"Do not worry! We, the princess of the night, are here to catch this theft!" Luna shouted in her cantrlot voice, getting the others attention.
Firebrand, seeing princess Luna here, did the military salute and said "Commander Firebrand of F.O.B equestria base, is here to serve your highness!"
Princess Luna gave a salute back and said, "At ease commander. Now, I understand that a breach in Coal Town security has occurred last night and a lot of your equipment has been stolen, correct?"
Firebrand nodded, as he said "Correct your highness. We're about to look through the security cameras as we speak."
Luna nodded as she said "Good, once we find and capture the crooks, we, the princess of the night, would like to talk about increasing night security in the compound."
Doc then coughed nervously as he said "Um, not that we don't appreciate the the thought your highness, but are you sure you wanna-"
"Of course doctor. While you all are on security in the day time, your all tired when it comes to the nighttime from training and cleaning up from the great battle my son detailed to us weeks ago. Not to mention, Coal Town is also a personal military compound for me and my sister." Luna said in a official tone, taking the security of Coal Town seriously.
"So precautions during night security beyond security cameras are called for. After all, you all DO have life's outside of Coal Town. Perhaps my night guard can provide the extra stallion power to guard against invaders." Luna said, taking mental note for later discussions with her sister when she got back.
As the group walked to the security monitor and looked at what happened...and saw who did it. In the dead of night, a certain red and black pegasus was loading all of their gear onto his cart, including the respwan generator. And a small brown bag that looked familiar.
However, before he realized it, they recognized who it was. Yet, a bit different. Spear noticed and said "Is that Toon? If that's supposed to be a disguise, it's a bad one."
However, to some in the room, it was a familiar pegasus tied to Toon. Ellyora sighed as she said "Well, technically that's him. But at the same time, it's not."
Spear looked confused as he asked "What do you mean? I'm I missing some contexts here or..."
Lightning bliss sighed as she said "Elly, maybe I should explain. It DOSE kinda involve me after all."
Ellyora looked worried as she looked at Lightning bliss and said "Are you sure? I know that it was a rough time for you back then."
This catches Princess Luna's attention from her conversation as she walked over and asked "What pray-tell are you talking about?"
Lightning bliss gulped as she saw Princess Luna sitting in front of her. Worried what she would do if she knew about what had happened.
However, Luna could see Lightning's distress from her as she felt that whatever happened really traumatized her mentally.
She then placed one of her wings on Lightning's back, and calmly said, "Do not worry my young alicorn. We are not mad at you. We simply wish to know what had happened on that faithful day."
Lightning bliss then looked at her friends. Most of then already knowing what happened that, either being a part of those events or hearing about it soon after. She then took a calming breath, and said "All right, I'll tell you. But only the abridged version. It's kinda complicated."
Luna and Spear nodded as Spear got closer, ready to hear Lightning's tale.
Lightning closed her eyes as she began to tell the tale of what happened. "*Sigh* Well, it all started a while ago, I was tired of being a screw of a alicorn, so...I decided to try and get rid of my alicorniziom."
Luna eyes widen as she heard this. She'd never heard of a alicorn attempt to remove her alicornhood before. She wondered IF a spell like thay even existed.
"So, I tried the spell, and it kinda worked. Except instead of removing my alicorn part of me, it removed my...dark half. And it became self aware and...tried to absorb me and kill the rest of us."
Spear was shocked at this. He didn't think Lightning and the others had dealt with something like that. He wanted to give his rainbow big sis a hug, but decided to wait till later on. While Luna understood how Lightning bliss is going through. Dealing with your darker half is never easy.
"But thanks to Doc and the others, they gave me the strength to overpower Thunder blight, my dark half, and returned her to my mind."
Spear and Luna smiled apon hearing this. But Lightning frowned as she continued, "But Toon got hit by blight's magic and it corrupted him, making a alter ego in him too. He's called "Kartoonz" and he is such pain. But more of a nuisance then a villain, but still."
Luna then looked at Lightning, sensing something she was leaving out. "Miss Bliss, I must ask for out of curiosity. Is Thunder blight...still trapped in your consciousness?"
Lightning bliss nodded as she then explained, "Well, yes she is. But she's very limited on her power nowadays...and more controlled."
She then paused, and said "However...she also DID break out of my consciousness recently. Before I joined Tf2, she somehow found a way out, and tried to get vengeance on us by absorbing me, AND taking the color and magic from our friends."
She smiled once again and said "Thankfully, thanks to Aeon, another of my friends, we stopped her and she's been far more under control since those events."
Luna then showed a sympathetic look, walked over to Lightning, and gave her a gentle hug, saying "I am truly sorry you went through all that my little pony. Even with my experience with nightmare moon, I can't even imagine the torment and pain you all went through."
Spear also walked over as well and said "Yeah, I didn't think anypony could suffer something like that. Even with all the craziness that Me, Twilight, and the others go through...I think what you guys went through took the cake."
He then bended down, hugged bliss, and said "I'm so sorry you went through that. I just wish I was there to help back then."
Lightning bliss then teared up a bit as Luna And Spear also teared up, trying to comfort her. After breaking up the hug, Luna then said "Miss Bliss, I know being a alicorn can be hard on you. But, if you ever need help on your magic, have any questions on alicorns, or just need a listening ear, you can always come to our castle and me and my sister will be there."
"Same with me Blissy. Your little hedgehog bro will always be here if you wanna talk." Spear said, offering his own support.
Lightning sniffed and smiled as she said "Thank you Spear. You too your highness."
Luna shook her head as she said "Please, call me Luna. No need for formalities around us."
Doc smiled at the scene playing out, but cleared his throat to get their attention and said "As sweet as this moment is, I believe we SHOULD get back at the matter in hand?"
Spear then wiped his eyes as he said "R-Right. Well, if kartoon was beside this, then let's ask Toon where he took it."
"Where I took what?" They heard Toon behind them, in a sweat, clearly hiding something.
Doc walked over to them as she asked calmly "Mr toon, you wouldn't have by any chance remember seeing a cart in the area, have you?"
"Hmmm, cart, cart...oh right, I remember. Kartoonz took over last night. Something about selling something in the black market. But, I fought back, and saw the cart of toy merchandise of our weapons in the cart. Pretty accurate to design if you ask me."
Spear's nerves began to pop out of his head as he said, "Toon...that had ALL of our gear in it! Our REAL gear...including the respwan generator!"
Toon seemed to finally click on what happened as he said "Ohhh...yeah, THAT'S why the mini guns were so heavy."
Spear at this point was on the verge of mangling Toon as he said "Toon...exactly WHERE did you take our gear?"
Toon gulped nervously as he said "Well...I thought it would be profitable to take them to the Rainbow falls trade exchange..."
Everything in the room at this ponit had their mouths hung open at Toon's actions at this ponit. Spear was about to talk, when Toon mentioned one more thing. "Though, I DID get something good with that bag of rainbow gems I found in one of the lockers." Toon then pointed at the milkshake maker in the Corner.
Spear's mind then cracked. Worried that the bag had what he thought it had. "Was it a brown little bag, had seven gems in it, each a different color..."
Toon nodded as he said "Yeah, it was...that was a surprisingly accurate description of the-GAAK!" Spear then began to choke Toon as he then yelled in a furiously tone,
"THAT. SACK. HAD. ALL. SEVEN. CHAOS. EMERALDS. IN IT!!!"
"Dude, have you ever of a safe?!"
"YOU JUST JUST THE UNIVERSE AT RISK YOU DUMB- *SMACK*"
"CALM DOWN!" Eliora shouted as he smack him. Getting him to snap out of his murderous attack.
"Miss Eliora is correct." Doc said calmly, while at the same time, keeping his frustration in check. "While I understand your frustration here, and believe that he deserves some punishment for his and Mr kartoonz actions, trying to beat up Mr.Toon won't get us anywhere."
Thespio then spoke up and said "And at the very least, we know where they SHOULD be. All we need to do and get them back."
Doc took a breath, and said "Mr.Thespio has has a point. Since it's most likely that our gear is still at the trade exchange, we NEED to get it back before anypony else gets it. Otherwise, not only we could lose any equipment at we didn't retrieve in time, but ANY of our gear could be dangerous if it fell into the wrong hoofs."
He looked at Spear and said "Mr.Spear, will you and some of the others head to rainbow falls to retrieve our...misplaced gear?"
Luna then gave a confusing look as she said "Why go through all the trouble? With my attorney as princess, I can just order our ponys to simply return the gear to us."
Firebrand surprisingly spoke up, and gave his two bits about Luna's suggestion. "No offense your highness, but I think it kinda of a bad idea."
Luna's attention was now on Firebrand. Despite being a princess, she was still willing to hear out Firebrand's concerns and understand his distress.
She admitted that she wasn't a good listener over a thousand years ago, if her figjt with her big sister and transformation into nightmare moon was anything to go by. But, thanks to her son and Twilight sparkle, she's learned how to slow down, and open her mind to those around her. She then said to the commander, "...Alright. we're listening."
Firebrand breathed a bit to calm himself and began to explain. "Well, if you start to just simply ordering the ponys there to just GIVE you our gear back, it would make it seem that the gear would have even more valuable then if one of us went instead. Plus, they would put up more of a fight in not returning it, and it might hurt somepony. It'll cause unnecessary panic at the event."
Luna thought about what Firebrand had said, and she had to admit...he was right. Her forcing her subjects to return their gear would be too much of a hassle and chaos would spread like a wildfire at the trade exchange. So, she said "...Alright then. A smaller group effort would be better for this then."
*Spear's P.O.V*
After discussing our options, Doc and mom gave me the mission to get our gear back at the Rainbow falls trade exchange. Wish I was going under better circumtances. But, one problem. How I'm I gonna get all our gear back by myself?
The answer? Get a crew together, and trade our stuff for our gear back! So, I have asked some of my friends to go with me to rainbow falls. As I looked for stuff to trade, I spotted something in Toon's room. I then sprouted a wicked grin as I swiped it, and moved on.
I then paced at the station like a drill sargeant and said "Alright troops! I won't lie, this will be a tricky task. Tracking all of our gear in all the stalls with all those ponys at the exchange will be no easy feat. But, I know that the five of us will track them all down and reclaim our honor!"
"Um, seriously?" Maddie said, Clearly confused as she stood near Ink Rose.
I blushed as I realized I was rambling. "Right. Well, basically, we need to get our gear back before it falls into the wrong hoofs and somepony accidentally gets hurts."
The four of them nodded as we waited for the train to show to take us to Rainbow falls. The team in hoof, was Maddy, Ink Rose, Golden fox, and Silver quill. With Training canceled for the day, for obvious reasons, they were more willing to help me out.
With the sound of the train whistle at the distance, we saw the train coming to the station, we got on, and prepared for the three hour ride to Rainbow falls.
*Three hours later* *Normal P.O.V*
After riding the train for three hours, the small group saw the rainbow colored waterfalls fast approaching. Spear was the first one to notice. His frustration over what happened the past few hours instantly disappeared when he saw the falls. "Look alive gang! The Rainbow falls!"
The train stopped at the station as the gang saw the rainbow falls up close. Spear breathed in the air around them and said "Ahhhh. No matter how many times I come here, The rainbow falls always makes me smile!"
Ink rose then walks to next to him as she stares at the falls with him and said "I bet Blissy would love this place."
Maddy smiled as she then said, "Yeah, skittlecorn would like this place. Full of rainbows, like her place."
After gazing at the beauty of the Rainbow falls, they helped Sliver quill and Golden fox bring out five carts. One for each of them to hold their gear in and their stuff their willing to trade with, and headed down the path.
Spear, before heading in, had put on cloak around him to disguise at the exchange. Silver quill was the first to notice it, Saying "I must admit, the "Wondering traveler" look is really working for you. But, why pray tell, do you need to cloak yourself?"
Spear then gave Silver quill a deadpan look, and said, "Well, at the risk of sounding arrogant, I AM royalty after all. If I get spotted like this, I risk putting the mission in jeopardy."
Golden then gave a raised brow and looked at his mobiun companion and said "No offense, but it DID kinda sounded arrogant of you to say."
Maddy, Ink rose and Silver quill nodded their heads in agreement while Spear gave himself a facepalm. Knowing that Golden was right.
Ink rose then chimed in as she pointed out, "Besides, I'm sure that even without the cloak, they wouldn't focus on you anyway Spear."
"And why are you so confident Rosey?" Maddy said confused. Wondering what Ink rose was saying.
"Because, I heard on the train, that princess Twilight was gonna be at the trade exchange. So, she'll probably take more of the attention then-"
"Oh sweet Celestia! I forgot she and the others were coming here today!" Spear said in a panic, forgetting this critical piece of info. "Twilight and the others were wanting me to come along so badly. If they see me here, they'll think I ditched them! I'm gonna keep the cloak on!"
Maddy then walked to him and said "Ahh, don't worry. I'm sure it won't matter. Look, will keep an eye out for them while we trade."
Golden fox spoke up as he said "Actually, speaking of trading, do we have a plan on how to go by this? I mean, the Traders exchange is a massive place, and it'll take possibly a few days to search all of the grounds."
Spear gulped, knowing that Golden had a point. Till he had a clever idea. "Golden's right, it'll be too slow to searching together will take too long. So, let's split up to cover more ground."
Spear looked at each of the group real quick, and came up with a plan. "Silver, you'll look for the heavy's and medic's equipment. Your the biggest out of us, so you can help hall them out."
Silver chuckles confidently as he says "Haha! Looks like my strength will be put to good use after all!"
Spear rolled his eyes as he looked at Golden fox and said, " Golden, you look for the sniper and pyro gears. Since the sniper's gear it the least flammable, it's probably best for you to look for them."
Golden fox nodded, accepting the mission, saying "You got it."
Spear smiled and turned to Maddy, saying "Maddy, your assigned to retrieve the soldier's and engineer's gears. Since your a earth pony, you can can pull the extra weight of the engineer's gear."
Maddy smiled and nodded, saying "Not a problem boyo. Besides, I wanted to be the one to find Braveheart anyway."
Spear gave a thumbs up as he turned to Ink Rose and said "All right Ink, that leaves the scout's and demoman's gear to you Ink. We're counting on you."
Ink rose nodded and said "Thanks. But, I have to ask, what are you gonna do?"
Spear then explained himself as he said "Well, I got to find the spy's gear, the respwan generator and pray that it's still in one piece, and find the sack containing the chaos emeralds. Let's meet near the station in a couple of hours, ok?"
They all nodded as they strapped on their wagons, and took off into the traders exchange. Hoping their prized gear was still around for them to reclaim.
Later
As the exchange was reaching its busiest time of the day, the five Coal Town mercenaries were busy searching for their lost gear.
They all found interesting items in their individual searches, but their gear was proving a bit tough to track down.
As Spear walked around, he Silver quill at one of the venues. With a familiar shadowy presence he knew.
Spear walked over to Silver quill and suddenly said "Where's you got there drum sticks?"
Silver quill jumped a bit starred and said "Really? Drumsticks?"
"What, it was funny. But more importantly, what are you doing?"
Silver then started to sweat in nervousness, trying to come up with a cover story. But it proved useless, as Spear looked behind him at the figure and recognized who it was. "Well...if it isn't Luna's spawn. We meet again."
Spear then looked shocked, but didn't cause a scene. The last thing they needed was a panic at the exchange. "K-King Sombra?! H-How are you back? And what are you doing here?"
Sombra then held out his hoof and said "No need for alarms. I'm just here for the trade exchange. I'm on one of those twenty-four hour passes to attend the event. Besides, Fortune teller baba will just find me again if i try to run."
Spear tilled his head in confusion. "Wait...how DID you-"
"ANYWAY, I'm here to trade. And your friend here was about to trade me this shadow crystal for something special. If he doesn't come through though, then I get to claim his soul."
Spear's mouth then hung open, shocked at the deal Sliver quill made. "Silver! Why would you make a deal like this?! Especially with a literal shadow specter!"
Silver quill gave a unusual cheerful smile and said "Relax, this isn't the first time I made deals of darkness. I even made deals with hades."
"Wait, you made deals with WHO now?!"
"Anyhow." Sliver quill then placed the crystal on the table and said "I believe this will complete our bargain, good Sombra sir."
Sombra then looked at the crystal, and gave a grim look on his face. "Do I look like a fool to you? This is a DEATH crystal! I'm asking for a SHADOW crystal!"
Silver quill then blinked twice in realization, as he just realized himself that he had been had. "Geez, next time I'll go to Maud's booth for my rock needs."
Sombra's eyes then glowed green as he said "It won't matter now. Your soul is now-"
"HOLD IT!" Sombra then looked over to Spear, with a dark purple shadow crystal in hand and said "Here. The deal is honored. You don't need to take Silver's soul."
Sombra then levitated thr crystal in the air,looked satisfied as he said, "CRYSSSSTAL." He then cleared his throat in embarrassment as he said, "Errm, sorry. That sometimes happens when I see a shadow crystal."
A shadowy red glow of magic then came out of the table he had as Sombra then held a box on his booth as Silver quill then jumped for joy and said "Oooh goody, the item I've been waiting for."
"Not so fast bird brain. YOU failed in the agreement. And your friend had to bail you out. THIS prize is for then one who honored our deal." Sombra then levitated the box to Spear's hands and said "This is yours."
Spear then gave Sombra a confusing look and said "And...your ok with this? Even after what happened back at the crystal empire?"
To Spear's surprise, Sombra nods and says "I harbor no vengeance towards you or your friends. I tried to get the crystal heart, but it disintegrated me. You and the others fought honorably. And, I respect it."
Spear was surprised that Sombra was more calmer then he remembered he was. He also remembered the old stories that Celestia told him growing up, so seeing the former king Sombra more calmer was kinda like having whiplash for him. Maybe death chilled him out a bit?
Spear nodded back at Sombra as he reached into the box and was shocked to see what it was. It was a amulet all too familiar to the both of them. "T-The alicorn amulet?! You made another one?!"
Sombra then nodded and then explained, "The alicorn amulet I made all those years ago was made from the malice in my heart. THIS one, was made from the honor and friendship you showed when you chose to save him instead of leaving him behind. It will not corrupt the user in anyway and will still give the boost in magic,speed,and strength of anypony."
Spear then titled his head in confusion again, not sure how to respond, and just simply said "Umm...thanks. I'll make sure it's in good hands."
Spear then turned as he and Silver quill then left Sombra's booth. Once they were out of ear shot, Spear punched Silver in the shoulder and said "What was that about?! Why were you trying to deal with the LITTER king of shadows?!"
Sliver quill then gave a deadpan look and said "Well, I thought that having the alicorn amulet would let me take equestria in Conquest, bit also have a counter to Dusty's alicorn amulet."
Spear just blinked at Silver quill. Not sure how to feel about this. One was that, a counter to Dusty's alicorn amulet WAS a good idea. And the other was that, he just saved equestria from get conquered by a dangerous hippogriff. "...You worry me sometimes Sliver."
"I tend to have that effect on some ponys." Silver quill said with a weird sence of pride on him. "But, that's not the only think I was doing. I also got me and Blissy-boo's gear. Now, I'm on my way to find Key's and Firebrand's gear next! Cheerio."
Spear sighed, but at least Silver quill was at least doing his part as he continued to look for his stuff.
Two hours later
After searching for a while, Spear finally found the respawn generator in a machine booth. Spear didn't know if the pony knew about the machine's true capabilities, so he'll have to be sly about the deal with them.
He then slid up to the booth and saw who was running it. It was a green earth pony with a white and red mane, a white and orange tail, wearing what looked like a boomer jacket with what seemed like a communicator on her left leg. And had a explosion with robot parts around it.
"Excuse me, are you open now?"
The pony turned around and smiled, saying "Yeah, we're open. Are you interested in some tech?"
"That depends. Your not with Celestia's secret service, or S.M.I.L.E, are you?" The mare said in a bit of a panicked voice.
Spear looked confused as he replied, "No?..." 'Didn't aunt Tia say that both organizations disbanded years ago?'
The mare then let out a seemingly relieved sigh and said "Sorry, thought you were with them. Yes, I'm open. Name's Fiaura. Fiaura the Tank Girl."
"I'm, umm...Clover the hedgehog. Pleased to meet you." Spear replied happily, yet nervously. Realizing that this mare seemed nice. "You seem to have alot of machines here. Are you a Mechanic?"
Fiaura then blushed as she said "Well, I tinker with some gadgets here and there, but yeah, I love machines! So, what can I help you with?"
Spear smiled as he then casually said "Oh, I'm just looking around for some parts for a project of mine and I couldn't help but seeing that big, green piece of machinery over there. Are you willing to trade for those parts?"
Fiaura then chuckled and shook her head as she said "This isn't just a pile of parts. These are the base components of a respwan generator. Once I find the parts, and time, I plan on rebuilding this baby to it's full glory!"
Spear then silently gulped as he knew that this was bad. She knew what it was, and she's probably not gonna trade it so easily. "Say, you look familiar. Weren't you talking to a walking mountain of chicken earlier?"
Spear gulped as he was worried about his identity being exposed. But also snickered as he heard what Fiaura called Silver. "Oh, NOW I recognize you! Your Spear the hedgehog, right? Son of princess Luna?"
Spear's face went pale as he knew the gig was up. But thankfully, Fiaura quickly managed to say "Whoa Whoa, calm down. I won't spread it around like wild fire. Your a customer. So, can I introduce you to anything other then-"
"Hey Spear, did you find the-" Maddy then walked up and saw the booth and the mare inside it and said "Fiaura? Is that you?"
"Maddy? No way! What are you doing here? It's been awhile!"
Spear then looked at the two of them back and forth and said "Wait, wait wait, wait! You two, know each other?"
Maddy then looked at Spear and said "Oh yeah, me and Fiaura gp back a bit. She even knows Keyframe and Lightning bliss."
Spear smiled, surprised that they were connected like this. "Huh. Small world, isn't it?"
Fiaura then looked at Spear with a raised brow and said "If you know Maddy,Key, and Blissy, Then you must know about Coal Town, right?"
Before Spear could speak, Maddy said "Oh yeah, he's our red spy. And a pretty decent one at that."
Spear chuffed at the half jab as he thought, 'Decent? I'd say I'm doing a good job, thank you.'
Maddy then continued as she said, "We're here because something...happened with our gear. Basically, one of our friends dark personalities sparked to life and thought it would be funny to trade our gear here in the trade exchange."
Fiaura then gave a dead pan look of annoyance on her face and said "Ugh, again?! I swear, these alternate personalities are getting to be such a pain to deal with!"
Spear then like he was lost as he asked "Wait, this had happened on more then one occasion?!"
Maddy shook her head and said "It's kinda irrelevant right now Spear." Maddy looked at Fiaura and said "Basically, we're looking for our missing gear, and since your good with machines, we were hoping if you come across any of our gear here?"
Fiaura then tapped her hoof to her chin and said "You know, it WAS early in the morning, but I saw Kartoonz here with the engineers equipment and the parts for the respwan generator around here."
Spear gulped and said "Oh, that's not good. Fiaura, you wouldn't by any chance to know WHICH booths the engineers equipment are in, do you?"
Fiaura giggled and said "Don't worry, I immediately traded the gear back and saved it for you guys in case you came by for them."
Maddy let out a breathe of fresh air and said "Oh thank Celestia. That saves us the trouble of-"
"Hold on!" Fiaura said, as she then said "This IS still the trade exchange, right? So I CAN'T just give all this to you for free. You'll have to trade something in return. Especially since I traded some nice gear to get your stuff for ya."
Maddy and Spear then began to think, wondering what Fiaura would like. Till she spotted something in Spear's cart that she really wanted. "OOOOOOH! Is that what I think it is!?"
Spear looked at the item in his cart and saw the black machine and said "Ummm, I don't know? Some sort of machine I found in Toon's bunk."
"Now don't give me that! I know that's super special professor swirly top's ultimate ice cream maker. Do you know how hard it is to get ice cream where I'm from?! Let alone such perfect ice cream." Fiaura in a annoyed tone.
Spear then looked at the machine and sprouted a wicked smile and said "Oh, THAT ice cream maker. Oh, of course I recognize it now. This machine was too advanced to just let Toon's incompetent mind keep."
Spear then sprouted a Mischievously grin and said "I wonder if the OTHER booths are willing to deal and trade with me on this~."
Maddy then looked kinds annoyed by this and whispers, 'What are you doing Spear? We need our gear back.'
'Just go along with this Maddy.'
Fiaura sighed and said "Look, what's it gonna take for us to trade?"
Spear then hummed as Fiaura then said "Hey, do you have a kid?" Spear nodded as Fiaura smirked and said "Well, I have something that any filly would love!"
Fiaura brings out what looked a hover scooter colored a futuristic Sleek blue color with orange hover pads, and a purple light burner. "This baby right here is is a extreme gear I like to call, "The pega-star!". It's my own master piece in extreme gear that's made for filly's and colts. It's just as powerful as any adult's gear, and hold up to five fillys/colts at once! And it even comes with it's own tool kit already filled with tools."
Spear whistled as Fiaura smirked, knowing she's got him hooked. "So, we got a deal?"
Spear then smirked back, knowing that he has Fiaura right were he wants her. "Throw in the Respwan generator and the Engineers equipment, and you got a deal."
They nodded and traded their stuff. Fiaura was happy that she has the ice cream maker, and Spear because he now has Scootaloo's birthday present tomorrow. A win-win.
"Did you REALLY steal that fron Toon's room?" Maddy said, trying not to laugh.
"What? The lug nut had it coming. Besides, it worked didn't it? Now I just need our spy gear and the chaos emeralds and I'm done." Spear said as he began to have some trouble lugging the cart fill of heavy parts.
Maddy then looked around and said "OK...well, you do that, I'll scout around for our soldiers gear. I'm sure some military booths gotten them or something."
Spear nodded and said "Right, good luck madds. See you later."
Meanwhile
Pinkie pie was hopping around the trade center, looking for something good to trade while Twilight was busy with pony fans wanting autographs.
Pinkie was happily jumping till she spotted a certain grey mare, working in a booth full of rocks. "Maud?! Is that you?!"
Maud gave a small smile, but still responded in a neutral tone, saying "Hi Pinkie. What brings you to my booth?"
Pinkie then stopped bouncing and said "I'm just here to help Twilight with the trade exchange. She's kinda overwhelmed with all the ponys around here, so I'm going around for her to see if everything's ok."
Maud continued to stares at Pinkie and asked "Hey, Pinkie? Can I ask you for a favor?"
Pinkie then tilted her head in confusion as Maud pulled out a little brown sack and said "Can you give this back to your boyfriend and tell him to be more careful? Powerful rocks like these shouldn't be in the wrong hoofs."
Pinkie, to the Surprise of Maud, froze still and blushed like crazy and said "W-What? Maud, you silly. I-I don't have-"
"You clearly like him Pinkie. Your never this quiet when talking."
Pinkie sighed as she knowing her older sister knew her the best. "*Sigh* Fine, you got me. I do like somepony. But, what am I supposed to say to him?! That I like him? ...he won't like a crazy, suger powered mess like me."
Maud then walked over to her, put her hoof on her shoulder and said "I can honestly say that he likes you Pinkie. The rocks in the sack told me so. Just try to get closer to him, and things will be fine."
Pinkie then raised a brow as she look in the sack and gasped, saying "I gotta find Twilight! Also, thanks for the advice Maud!" As Pinkie rushed away, Maud smiled, knowing that she will be fine, and hoped she confessed soon.
Meanwhile, the crowd of fans eventually calmed down, as Twilight looked at all the ponys trading with each other. Seeing that the exchange is going smoothly. "Twiliiiiight!!!" At least, till Pinkie showed up.
Twilight then turned with a sigh and said "What is it Pinkie? Did you find anypony with a problem?"
Pinkie gulped as she said "Not somepony. But I think a certain hedgehog we both know might get made when he finds out his sack is missing."
Pinkie pulled out the sack and showed it to Twilight. She looked inside and looked terrified. "Oh no...the chaos emeralds?! How did Spear loss this?!"
Pinkie shook her head, saying "I don't know, but if Spear ever finds out their missing, I think we're gonna see a dead body on the news tonight."
Twilight gulped as she said "Pinkie, I need you hold on to this as I talk to...who gave you the sack?"
"Maud."
"Right, I'll talk to Maud to see who traded to sack to her. And once I find them-" Twilight then grabs her old fillyhood baseball bat with her and said "I'll be busting some kneecaps before dark."
Pinkie blinked slowly. Not sure on how to respond to this. "Why are you sounding-"
"Hey, just because I grew up in Cantrlot, doesn't mean I grew up on the snobby side of the town. I grew up on the west side sister."
Twilight then when to talk to Maud, twirling her bat in the air, as Pinkie then commented to herself "Spear, you fell in love with such a firecracker."
Spear then gave a sneeze, wondering who's talking about him. As the time for to meet up was apon them, everyone had all the gear they were supposed to find, except Spear.
He sighed and said "Ugh, the day is almost over, and I still can't find the emeralds OR our spy gear! How hard can finding some spy gear be?!"
Ink rose rubbed his back in comfort and said "Hey, don't worry. The train doesn't comes for another hour. So we still have a bit of time to look all together."
Golden fox then walked up and said "Yeah, come on. The day's not over yet. Let's try looking in the fashion department on next. If the spy's suit is as suave as the meet the spy video makes him out to be, chances are that it's there."
Spear nodded and said "Only one way to find out. Let's go gang! We got some Spy gear to find!"
They all then headed out to the fashion department of the exchange, hoping that the last class of gear they were looking for was there.
At the fashion department, the team carefully searched each booth for the spy's suits, hoping they were there. As Spear looked at one tailors booth, he looks at two suits. One was a pale red, while the other was a pale blue. He found them. Spear turned to the others and waved them over.
"Welcome to Tyler's tailored suits! Where our suits are the best in all of equestria! How can I help you today?" The white earth pony with the black mane, tailor outfit and monacol, asked the group. They were surprised by all the suits he had in his inventory.
Spear then looked at their suits and said "Look, we're in a hurry, so let's cut to the chase. What are you wanting in exchange for the suits?"
Tyler then looked at the suits in confusion and said, "These old things? But I have much better suits in stock then those. Trust me, I can make you some of the finest suits available. I can improve for sence of style in an instant! Seriously, who's your outfit designer?!"
Spear then began to grow a bit irritated at the tailors stubbornness and said "First of all, my style is ROCKING.
Second, those suits have SENTINEL value.
Third, I ONLY wear Rarity bell brand outfits.
And lastly-" Spear then grabbed the stallion by the collar and said "-insult my lady's clothing line again, and I'm gonna make a suit out of YOU. Got it?"
Tyler then gulped and nodded out of fear as she put him down. The rest of the gang was left speechless. They weren't expecting him to manhandled the Tailor like that.
Meanwhile, a few minutes earlier
Rarity was trying to calm down after getting into a argument with Applejack about who's the better friend. So, going she went for a brief walk in the fashion department to collect herself, when she saw Spike arguing with a teen colt.
Apparently, the colt had one of Rarity's dresses on display, saying that clothing was a waste of time and that Rarity's line was a offense to ponykind. Spike, apon hearing this, went to defend Rarity's honor and said that clothing was a way to express yourself and that Rarity was the best designer in equestria.
However, the colt wasn't having it, and called Spike a corporate sell out and a danger to ponykind being a dragon.
Rarity, hearing all this, got engaged and held the colt by the ear in her magic grip and said "Darling...I know that we all have our own opinions, and you have all the right to express them."
Rarity then shot a death glare at him and said "But, if there's ONE thing i won't let slide, is slander on Spike's name. So here's the deal. If i hear you stain my precious Spikey-wikey's name ever again, I WILL call princess Twilight, and we will dish out some...swift punishment. Got it, darling?"
The colt gulped as he nodded and Rarity let go and turned to Spike, saying "Are you ok Spikey-wikey?"
Spike blushed as he nodded and said "Y-Yeah, thanks. For helping me back there."
"Hehe, I should be thanking you Spike. Thank you for coming to my defense when I couldn't.' Rarity then rubbed Spike's cheek as they shared a moment.
Spike then heard boasting from near by and turned to see what's going on. "Um, Rarity? Look!"
Rarity turned to see a commotion and saw what was going on. And heard what the one in the hood say "Insult my lady's clothing line again, and I'm gonna make a suit out of YOU. Got it?"
Rarity then saw the hood move slightly, and saw who it saw. "*Gasp* Spear? I-I thought Twilight said he couldn't make it with us today."
"I guess work must've involved the trade exchange today after all?"
"Possibly Spike. Still...like you, he also stood up for me." Rarity blushed as she quietly said to herself, 'You both are so sweet. How am I such a lucky mare to have not one, but TWO prince charmings?'
Rarity then shook her head and said "Spike,I'll need your help with something. Think you can swipe the covered suits from the rack and replace them with these empty covers?"
Spike looked in confusion and then realized what she had in mind. "Wait, you wanna steal them?! But why?!"
Rarity then rubbed Spike's frills to calm him down and said "Spike, I know that stealing is wrong and that we should never do it. But sometimes, you have to bend the rules for those you care for."
Spike nodded in understanding and began to wait for a chance to switch the suits nearby. While Rarity distracted Tyler with her lady charms.
Spike was able to switch the suits and move out of the way in time as Rarity left with a disgusted face on her. "Yuck. Such a disgusting stallion."
"Did he have a bad personality? Or did he accidentally spit while talking?"
"Thankfully neither. He is a nice stallion, albeit having a bit of a ego, but not as bad as blue blood. No, his choices for fabric are atrocious. I mean, polyester?! Why in equestria would you willingly make a polyester suit?! It's a crime to fashion I tell you Spike!"
Spike rubbed Rarity's back in comfort and said "Well, at least it's over, right Rare?"
Rarity nodded in relief and said "Well, we'll have to bring this to Spear. He seemed like he was in desperate need of it."
Spike nodded as he and Rarity went after the mercenaries. Wondering what did happen that Spear's suit was at the exchange.
Meanwhile
Back near by the train station, everyone was pulling their loot as Spear checked the list of their inventory. "Ok, other then the spy's gear, looks like we got almost everything. What else are we missing?"
Golden fox spoke up, as he knew what was missing. "That would be Eliora's Pyro gear. But the weird thing is, I've looked in nearly every booth, and nopony has seen it."
"Hmmm...so either somepony took it home already, or something else happened to them." Spear thought, as he and the others began to think where else they missed in the trade exchange.
"Hey guys!" A voice shouted at them. They turned to the voice, which belonged to Fiaura, as she head to them and said "Phew, glad I found you all."
Silver quill saw Fiaura and said "Well well, if it isn't the tank girl in the flesh. How's it going?"
Fiaura then caught her breath and said "I'm doing ok. But I came to let you guys know that I found where your Pyro gear is."
Ink rose jumped up to her hoofs and said "You do?! Where are they?"
"It's in the stage area. It looks like there's a stage pony with the Pryo gear."
Spear then gave a thumbs up and said "Thanks Fiaura! Come on guys, let's get Eli's gear back!"
The group then ran to the center of the exchange, racing off to to get the gear before train arrivals.
As the group arrived at the stage area, they saw a brown Pegasus with a blue mane with safely goggles on, pacing back and forth with a nervous look on his face. "Oh, no. Now what am I gonna do? The band just HAD to quit right before showtime! Now, all I have is this useless flamethrower. "
"Excuse me, it sounds like you have a problem." The stage pony turned around and saw Spear and the others looking concerned as he said "Is there anything we can do to help?"
Maddy then looked confused as she asked "Um, are you sure we have time? The train should be on its way in fourthly-five minutes."
Spear turned around to Maddy and said "There's always time to help anybody in need. It's the right thing to do after all-" Spear then paused a bit as he came to a realization and said "Something I almost forgot today with all my rushing. Oh, I'm sorry guys."
Ink rose put her hoof on his shoulder and said "It's ok, we were all under alot of stress to get our gear back."
The stage pony looked at them and seemed to found to answer to his problems. "You five! You seem to be friends,correct?"
They all nodded as he said "Then PLEASE help me! Can you cover for the band that quit on me! I promised a musical performance today for the opening day of the traders exchange, but the band flaked on me! Can you please help me by preforming the opening song as the opening act? I'll give for this Pryo gear I got today."
The five of them looked at each other, wondering if this was a good idea. But smiled at each other as Maddy said "Well, other the. The ukulele, I can play the guitar."
Ink rose spoke up, saying "I can play the violin since I was a filly."
Golden then pointed out, "I still have one of my bass guitars on me."
Silver quill then looked in his cart and said "I have this drum kit I got in one of the booths. Used to play drums awhile back."
Spear then finally spoke up and said "And I have a electric guitar of my own on me." He then smirked as he looked at the others and said "Are you guys thinking what I'm thinking?"
They all smirked and nodded at the idea before Golden fox asked "What do we call ourselves?"
"The Silver quills?" Everyone looked at Sliver quill with dead pan look as Ink rose then said "Well, we all always meet at Coal Town...what about...The Burning Coals?"
Everyone looked at each other and nodded at each other, liking the name as Spear gave a thumbs up and said "I like it. We're "The Burning Coals!" Let's rock this place!"

Meanwhile, Twilight had just cleared up the case between Rainbow dash and the trainer pony as they walked around with her and Pinkie at the exchange, when they heard the concert in the middle of the exchange and went to go check it out, as Twilight could swear the lead singer sounded familiar.

As Ink rose and Maddy worked together on the solo, the main six finally met up and were surprised at who was playing. Rarity and Spike weren't as surprised since they saw him earlier, but the others were surprised by not only him showing up, but him and his friends preforming on stage.
While they were kinda hurt that Spear came without them knowing, they knew that he wouldn't hurt them on purpose. Plus, the song they were preforming was really rocking.
Twilight was the first one to rock out, throwing her hoofs in the air. Quickly followed by Pinkie pie, Rainbow dash, Spike, Applejack, even Rarity was tapping her hoof to the music. But to their surprise, Fluttershy was the one who was really into it. She flew up, and did a loop-de-loop in the air, saying "WOOOO! GO SPEAR!!!" She landed back down and blushed from her excited outburst.

As the performance died down, the crowd cheered in excitement as Spear shouted "Goodnight traders exchange!"
They went to backstage and gave each other a high hoof/five as they met with the stage pony who was ecstatic about the performance, said "Oh that was marvelous! Thank you so much for helping me out!"
He brought out the bag holding the Pyro gear and said "A deals a deal, right? Here's the Pyro gear I promised."
Golden fox then grabbed the gear and said "Thanks. Now we have most of the gear now!"
Spear smiled as they heard a "Ahem." Behind them as Twilight and the main six and Spike stood there and Sliver quill,Ink rose, Golden Fox, and Maddy stepped back, leaving Spear all alone as the main 6 stared at them as he said "Um, So... obviously I gotta explain myself, and-"
Before he continued, they all gathered together and cheered for him on the performance and Rainbow dash said "That was one of the coolest rock performances I ever saw! You guys rocked!"
Applejack nodded in agreement as she said "I saw ya rocking out more then a pig in a mud puddle! You all were amazing!"
Rarity nodded and said "While I'm more into the classical music myself, your violin playing was simply superb miss rose. I never knew violinist could rock out like that. You all did simply marvelous."
Pinkie jumped up and down as she said "That was so much fun! It was like a rockers party!"
Spike kept bopping his head and said "I think that song it gonna stay in my head for a good while! Awesome job!"
Fluttershy was still dancing as she said "You guys are serious rockers! If their was a music festival in equestria, I hope you guys preform again! Consider me a Burning Coal fan from now on!

Twilight was the last one to speak and said "While it did sting a bit that you came here without telling us, it looks like it was a emergency on your end, wasn't it."
Spear awkwardly chuckled and Said "I guess you can call it a royal emergency since mom was urgent about us coming here. And I didn't want you guys knowing either since it would look like I ditched you. I'm so sorry I didn't tell you guys before."
Twilight smiled and hugged Spear and said "Apologize accepted. Now, wanna head back home with us? I wanna hear how you all came up with that amazing performance!"
Spear was thinking about what to do when Silver quill said "Hey, don't worry about your cart, I'll take it back with us to Coal Town for ya."
Ink rose followed it up by saying "And I'll let Doc know what happened today. So don't worry."
Spear smiled as he then heard Rarity said "Oh, and one more thing, Speary dear."
Rarity lifted the suit from the covers and said "I believe these belong to you."
Spear blinked as he he said "H-How did you-"
"Let's just say, me and Spike got those suits for a steal of a offer."
Spear smiled as Spike hugged him and Rarity kissed his cheek and whispered "Thank you for standing up for me my love. You and Spike are truly my princes."
Spear blushed from the comment as he said "W-Well, I guess I'll go with you guys."
Spear then turned back to the other mercenaries and said "Thanks for all your help today guy. See you on Monday, ok?"
They waved good bye as Spear dropped off the spy gear and got Scootaloo's birthday present. As they rode on the train, Spear heard what happened as he told only about his adventures at the trade exchange.
That's when Twilight said "Oh! Before I forget, me and Pinkie wanted to give this to you Spear."
Spear looked as Twilight pulled out the sack and was shocked. "T-Twilight. How did you-"
Pinkie slowly walked over and explained, "Well...Maud found it after somepony traded it, and asked me to give it back to you. So, I asked Twilight to help, and-"
Spear stopped her hugging them and kissing their cheeks and said "Ohhh thank you thank you THANK YOU! You two are the best!"
Twilight and Pinkie blushed and enjoyed their hug all the way back to Ponyville as the they all enjoyed the train ride home.
The next day
"Surprise! Happy birthday Scootaloo!"
The surprise party for Scootaloo went off as planned, thanks to Pinkie pie, as they enjoyed games, cake, and karaoke together. It was a party that any fourteen year old could ever enjoy.
When it came time for presents, Scootaloo began to open them in order. First, her friends, then the cmc members, followed by her family members.
Spear was resting by a wall, drinking some punch, as Rainbow dash had a smug look on her and said "Looks like Scoot's is getting a lot of great gifts this year, huh?"
Spear simply nodded as Scootaloo got Another package as Rainbow dash sill kept her smug look and said "But I'm sure I got her the best gift ever!"
Spear raised his brow as Scootaloo opened a small box that had a band that allowed her to see the wonderbolts for free for her whole life. She was giddie to say the least as she saw the last box.
Rainbow was for sure confident that Scootaloo loved her gift the best...at least till she saw Scootaloo open the big box and saw that futuristic hover scooter.
It was then Spear's turn to be smug as she ran to give him a massive hug and said "Thank you for the best gift ever dad! Your the most awesomeness dad ever!"
Rainbow dash felt her pride take a bit as it was obvious that Spear got the best present this time. But, she was glad Scootaloo was happy at least.
As the party continued, Spear went to go look for Twilight as she had suddenly left the party. She saw her on the terrace and gulped. Was she angry with him for yesterday? "...Spear? Can you sit here with me?"
Spear looked confused as he did as Twilight asked and sat down. He then felt Twilight's head on his shoulders as she said "Hehe, I told you you'd find the perfect gift for Scootaloo. You are her dad after all."
Spear blushed as he smiled and rubbed her mane, saying, "I guess you can say that I got pretty lucky there."
The two sat together as Spear gulped and asked "Hey Twi?"
"Hmm?"
"Y-You know, maybe once we both have time, we can go back to the traders exchange together? I didn't get to see all of it last time."
Twilight giggled as she said "I would like that. Thank you."
The two of them then sat on the bench watching the sunset. Glad that the day ended on a happy note...but not for everyone.
Earlier
As Toonkrittic was walking home, he began to feel like he was being followed. He was trying to get home, he was pulled into a alleyway, where a ticked off Twilight was waiting for him. "Hello Mr.Toon. I heard you took from a friend of mine the day before yesterday. You tried to be slick. But," Twilight twirled the bat and said "Not slick enough."
Twilight then began to beat Toon with her Bat as she went gangster on him and began to break his knee caps.
End of flashback
Twilight giggled as she snuggled onto Spear's lap as he stroked her mane. Spear then saw dried blood stains on her coat. Small that it's not noticeable right away, but he spotted them.
He was able to put two and two together, and smiled as he thought "Well, what do you know. Twily beat me to it."
Speat then noticed that Twilight fell asleep on his lap and decided to carry her to her room. He tucked her in and was about to leave as he felt a magical pull drag him into bed as she mumbled "Mine".
Spear blushed, but went with it as he then closed his eyes and fell to sleep. This was in fact, a day he would never exchange for anything.
Phew! Finally, this done! My longest chapter in the history on being here. Hope it was worth the wait for it! Remember, Comments really help the story and the series grow as a result.

Yes. I love both franchises. And since friendship is magic has alot of similarities to Sonic, (and I wanted my oc to be different from all the other pony oc's) I made Spear as a hedgehog oc.

Well, if you saw it in this chapter, I am exploring that concept. also, i also plan for the chaos emeralds to play a part in future parts too. As well as the elements of harmony. One more thing, in this story, the season 4 premiere never happened, so the elements of harmony are still with Twilight in the castle of friendship.

well i have an oc that's showing that not all diamond dogs and i quote 'flea bags that smell like bags full of manure left to fester in a swear during a 3 week long heat wave'. he wants to show that all diamond dogs are just as kind as ponies if given the chance. he'll have them in his stand waiting for the right trader (witch will be ether Sear or Twi) so he knows they'll use them in a proper manner. and what he wants is to be hidden from the first 3 diamond dogs (who i call the three stogies) until they forget about him or are captured for there crimes to both diamond dogs and ponies. like it so far?

Hmmm...I DO have a chapter planned for the Diamond dogs to invade Coal Town after Spear, Eliora, and Golden Fox investigate the mines in town. Maybe i can put your OC in to be one of the background workers in Coal Town. Like merry sue. And yes, shes still gonna be part of the story, but having your OC and her constantlyfight with Sliver quill getting in the middle would be interesting to see. what do you think?
