I actually wrote this last Halloween, and posted it on fanfiction.net, but to be blunt, it was REALLY rushed compared to this version. I wrote the original on a whim, I didn't expand on it and included a mention of Discord that honestly, looking back on it, didn't make much sense.
Thus, the whole thing with the Nightmare Night campfire stories and such wasn't in the original version, but I am MUCH more pleased with this one, even if it is 2000 or so words longer. 
I had wanted to get it out before Nightmare Night, but alas, I did not complete the revision in time. *sigh*
It was originally a one-shot - hence the length of the first chapter - but now I have decided to make it into a full-fledged story after getting a sequel suggestion/

If those last few lines with Scootaloo at the end of the first chapter sounded like a line from the Doctor Who episode "The Time of Angels", that was completely intentional.
The Doctor: Bob, keep running but tell me, how did you escape?
Bob: I didn't escape sir. The angels killed me too. They broke my neck.
Now, off to finish the next chapter of Pages of Harmony before Season 3 starts!
Welp, I enjoyed it and think you have quite a bit of writing potential there, that being said I'm no master at writing myself, so I can't be so sure. Good job at the story and good luck at any more!
Also, when does Season 3 start? I'll probably poke around to get a date soon but as far as I know it comes out sometime in November, but that's about it.

1565728 I almost feel like it could be just a continuation of this one-shot in a way, though I could just hav it be a separate story as well... then with the whole thing with Scootaloo I could possibly work in the "What she went through at camp" thing in flashbacks of a sort - that way it wouldn't be just Twilight's story, but Scootaloo's as well. And I don't seem to see too many fics where Twilight and Scootaloo are the primary characters.

Ugh... CAN'T CHOOSE!

Though maybe I should give the story a name change - I found out there's a story called Cold-Blooded Twilight, and Scootaloo's now a secondary character since I expanded on my original one-shot, so...

You've got quite a lot of glaring typos throughout the chapter, though.
Ah, and I know there are others, but it takes a while to read this chapter, and I don't really have time right now. Sorry. (Though if you wanted a proofreader to catch future errors, I can do that.)
I have to say though, as much as I enjoyed reading this - your writing style kept me engaged and I didn't skim over even a little of your story - my suspension of disbelief was ruined when Twilight continuously had nightmares and sleepwalked all night. It was implied that this was quite a few times.
First off, it had to take her awhile to fall asleep, walk to the Everfree, wake up, walk home and get back into bed, so I wouldn't think she'd be able to do this too many times during the night.
Secondly, both Twilight and her friends' reaction to the sleepwalking part of the nightmare (they ignored it completely) was incredibly unbelievable. Sleepwalking is serious. Especially since it kept happening - a sign that she needs to do something about it - and that she was heading towards the Everfree forest - which is dangerous even during the day, so sleepwalking in that direction should be worrying for more reasons than just scary stories.
There was some missed opportunity for some scenes of real concern from her friends there.
But, like I said, I enjoyed this story nonetheless. Keep it up

As for the other stuf.... yeeaahh, this was originally an expansion from a kind of hastily-put-together one-shot I did during Halloween of last year, so then this year I decided to add stuff to it and post it here. However, I guess there was stuff I kind of left and didn't expand on when I should have, my bad...
Just goes to show that trying to rush in a spur-of-the-moment decision to improve a less-than-stellar fanfic wasn't exactly the best course of action.
I'll go back and try to fix that up a bit before I post the next chapter.

Seriously, though, I actually found this story before I became a member of fimfiction. After I signed up, I found I couldn't remember the name. So, I stumble upon it, have a nice re-reading, and when I reach the bottom, see this glorious nugget of news!
The story is nicely creepy, and I like how you combined the story of the blanks and the blank flank ending from SFA. Scoots being a Bloody Hoof is an interesting twist, and I really am looking forward to where this story goes.

Also, I think I've figured out how all this happened to Twi. Scootaloo implanted an overpowering fear in her mind, causing her to attempt to disprove it subconsciously without even realizing it, ultimately resulting in her death. In any case it truly shows what fear can do to ones mind.
