If the spaceship suddenly depressurized, what would happen to the macrowave? Would the Equis gravity keep all the air in?

That's a good science question!

My hypothesis is that Equis' air would rush through Twilight's microwave and it would keep rushing through. If Equis has atmospheric pressure like Earth, that pressure would constantly push it's air through the microwave/macrowave until something stops it (like closing the door).

Barnon watches as the Purple Pony's eyes nearly double in size, before it drops the Holopad and tries to jam its head through the Macrowave to see. It's kind of funny. Her horn keeps getting stuck, and she's just too big. Wasn't she all worried about inter-transitionary-dimensional-time-space-whatevery?

Why didn't she just use Shrinking Spell to pass through the Microwave? She made herself a Breezie once, making herself tiny should not be a problem.

Unsure where on her timeline we are tbf. It's pre-Tirek since she still lives in her tree house, It's also pre season three since that's when she got her wings, which she doesn't have here. As the Breezy episode was in season 4 she might have just not learned a spell like that yet.

Nope, the gasses would try to equalize pressure, and with the near vacuum of deep space on one side the Equestrian atmosphere would evacuate (with the rate determined by the atmospheric pressure on ground level) until the pressure at ground level was a near vacuum.

The expanding cloud of gas on Barnon's side (held together by mutual attraction through gravity) would just slightly raise the pressure of the surrounding space so ground level in Equestria wouldn't quite turn into the near vacuum of deep space, but just barely.

It would still kill most things.

This is one of the things Hollywood gets completely wrong about space.

Spacecraft are kept at or around one atmosphere of pressure for the crew. One atmosphere, one bar, is not a lot of pressure.

You won't gets sucked (technically pushed) out through a tiny hole in the hull.

In fact, you can literally just put your thumb on it until someone gets some duct tape to patch it. A sturdy waxed tarp and some silicone or glue can be used for a larger hole. Granted, that won't keep out cosmic radiation, but your air won't leak out.

Bicycle tires are kept at 2-9 bar, depending on the tire type and the biking surface.
