Blackdrag-rose

Perfection? I don't want that, because that would mean stopping, standing still, instead of improving.

T

Princess Celestia, searching for Twilight Sparkle and the rest of the missing ponies, approaches the Tree of Harmony to see if she can find any clue as to where all of them went, only to be ambushed by the remnants of Nightmare Moon, seeking revenge after her defeat. In an odd twist of fate the two are pulled into a brand new world, full of heroes and villains with all sorts of powers, Quirks, though both figures end up separated from each other in the land of Japan. Celestia ends up in the care of Inko Midoriya with Izuku as her brother, while Nightmare ends up being found by All For One.

Both must deal with their own Quriks and the school that teaches students on how to become heroes, all while facing those that seek to bring them down.

well, this should be somewhat interesting, i have seen several stories set in this Verse, one of them even HAD ponies in it...or A pony at least...

Wherever Luna got sent at least she won't be dealing with somepony else's alter ego like Daybreaker.

11957208 Aye, My Hero Academia. I asked viewers which one they wanted, between this and Bleach, and this was the one picked by the few that commented.

11957318 Indeed. It did seem like the author intended for AFO to be Izuku's father, like many people theorized over the years.

Not a fan about that AFO fan theory.
But hey, if the story is good, is just a minor detail then

too late, All For One...far, far too late...

He should have just raised them together I think.

"So, you're the one called 'AFO'... honestly, I'm not impressed." the girl, Nightmare, remarked, where Hisashi realized that she was more than a mere four year old mutant, rather she seemed far wiser than what she looked, which only made him all the more interested in learning about her, though he also refrained from getting annoyed, "I heard this guy mention your title while I was recovering... stupid portal, turning me into a foal... and then I heard you mention Celestia. Is that true?"

OH, she remembers actually

11959320 I mean, the two being sisters is a possibility.

11959386 Aye, Nightmare is one of the few displaced to be age regressed but still remember everything else.

AFO being a family man, for some reason seems like such a fun thing.

And because Celestia doesn’t have her memories why do I see her making the same mistakes that led to Luna becoming Nightmare Moon in the first place? Hopefully she can dodge it.

so, the questio now becomes if Tia and Nightmare will be 'open' sisters, or 'secret' sisters...

11961352 It's always possible. Time will tell.

11961381 Indeed. That is the question: will Nightmare join the siblings, or will she stay away.

For some reason I want to imagine an alternate version of Deku appearing in this universe from a universe where he became a villain.

Don't read this or the above comment until you read the chapter because spoilers
I agree, to be fair being centuries old probably give you some perspective.

11961906
Aye, and there is something majorly funny about the picture of a man, who is ok with ruining everything for everyone, but his family, that if anyone touch he will take out everyone. "A hero will sacrifice the person they love to save the world, but a villain will sacrifice the world to save the person they love"

Well I see you are going with him having the Decay quirk originally. That could be an interesting development. Now who will not make Class 1-A?

11964014 There are problems with Izuku having Decay, namely the age difference between him and Tomura. A Quirk manifests at the age of four, and Tomura was a late bloomer in that Decay appeared when he was only five... with the four year age gap that exists between them Izuku would have been only one when Tomura gained his deadly Quirk, so there's no way Decay could have been Izuku's.

11964014 Well, I did some research and found that while Quirks can manifest at the age of 4, there are also Quirks that can manifest far earlier. A strong case of a Quirk manifesting early in life is, interestingly enough, the baby from the very beginning of the story, the one that glowed... so there is potential for the theory of Izuku's original Quirk being Decay.

School will be an explosion experience, when that starts.

interesting little factoids: it is not uncommon for at least three generations of a family to live in a small apartment in Japan, thats kids, parents and then grandparents...and i do mean 'small', as in literally everything is about two thirds the size of what we might be used to in the west, space is at a premium in that country...while it doesnt usually come up in English anime dubs, family names always come before personal names in Japan, thus Midoriya Celestia and Midoriya Selene would be the proper format...

11966050 Funnily enough, the living conditions you stated is almost never shown in manga, at least not to my knowledge. Like Shoto's family used to live together while Shoto was young, but split... or like how Ichigo Kurosaki and his sisters still live with their father, all the way to Bleach's end, as once the final arc ended Ichigo inherited the family house and his other family moved out.

As for the naming scheme, I am aware that the proper way for an area like MHA's is last name and then first name, but I keep writing things as first name and then last name.

11966153
depends on the manga/anime, i can think of a few, but i agree that its rare...the idea is that you are kind of honour bound to care for your parents/grandparents as they get older...but on the other hand, manga and anime are not reality, and many of the rules IRL get thrown out the window...

11966153
as for you eriting names, you clearly come from a western background, you aren't used to it, i would be impressed if you even used proper honourifics for the characters in their interactions...

"I've been looking at other properties in my spare time, and when we both decided to adopt our lovely girls into the family I knew we'd need a new place to live." Hisashi explained, which was partly true, the latter part about the increase to his little family definitely required them moving to a new residence, while the lie was in him looking at properties in his spare time, but Inko seemed perfectly fine with that knowledge, causing him to focus on heading inside, "This was the first one that caught my eye, as it has four rooms, two bedrooms, a kitchen, and everything else we could possibly need, plus there's a small garage for us to put the car and your bicycle. I didn't want to go too far, since I know Izuku's friend Katsuki lives nearby and moving too far away would inconvenience everyone, plus it would make it hard for all of our kids to make friends."

right, "friend", yeah.

11966194 I did it a bit back in Sombra's Bleach story, with Ichigo being respectful to Urahara, but that was the extent of what I've done.

11966198 I know, right? Katsuki's parents are friends with Izuku's parents, that is true... but it doesn't look like the same can be said for Izuku and Katsuki.

Did you pick Celestia's and Nightmare 's Quirks or can I make some suggestions?

That will be a lot of firepower.

huh...unless i miss my guess...Yin and Yang, the Solar Dragon matched to the Lunar Tiger...which actually makes more sense than i first thought since Seiryu, the Azure Dragon, is supposed to protect the East, and Byakkuyo, the White Tiger, the West. sunrise, sunset...

11968604 Celestia's were actually shown in this chapter. As for Selene/Nightmare, I have an idea... but I am interested in hearing your ideas.

11968838
For Celestia I was thinking to call it Sunrise; her powers would increase during the day and at high noon her powers would be at there peak.
For Nightmare; Nightfall, you get what I'm getting at right?

11968869 So for Celestia you're thinking of Escanor's Sunshine? Because that's basically what his power did: it rose during the day, peaked at noon, and then lowered in the evening, while he was utterly weak at night.

As for Nightfall... the exact same, but with the moon? Where she's weak during the day but strong at night?

11968875
That's it. They can still use their powers, but they wouldn't be as effective during the time of day

11968883 I guess that could work, but Selene would then need a reliable Quirk if she wanted to be a hero.

11968890
Wouldn't her being a vampire be a reliable Quirk? She would have superhuman traits, like strength, speed reflexes, etc.

11968893 Fair. I also checked on that one hero, Vlad, who has Blood Control... so Selene will be alright.

11968658 I will admit that I'm not totally sure where the connection is. Is it due to their names, or is there something I'm missing?

Yes, the licensing thing feels very stupid and unfair in some cases (if someone is forced to use it, how should they be?) Also, I love how the power of the "sisters" managed to overshadow that shitty moment in the manga

11968987 Oh yeah, the whole license thing is very stupid and unfair. And I didn't even make it up, as the Hero one is mentioned in the school, and Power Loader himself mentions having a license to work on support items, so a Support License had to exist... it stood to reason that there had to be a Civilian one as well.

11968975
Chinese folklore imported and adapted into Japan, the only creature that could match the power of the Dragon was the White Tiger, likewise, the Dragon is seen as a source of great wisdom and learning while the Tiger serves as a symbol of martial strength. of the four Auspicious Beasts, Seiryu, the Azure Dragon, was said to protect the east of Tokyo in Japan and Beijing in China, while her counterpart, Byakkuyo, the White Tiger, protected the West. sunrise, sunset, Yin and Yang...Balance...Celestia and Selene are likewise balanced, and Tia just turned into a Dragon while Selene gained fangs...not unlike a Tiger perhaps? likewise, Tia was ever the Wise Protector of Equestra, ever the Teacher, ever the Shield...makes sense that Luna, and therefore Selene, would be the Sword of Equestra, the Warrior, the Huntress...

in essence, im speculating about how their various powers shall fully manifest, seeing connections to various folklore...

11969014 I see. I honestly did not know that information before this point. And you are right, Luna/Nightmare is often seen as the warrior princess of her home world, so I'm starting to see the connections you were talking about.

11969020
lots of little tidbits in folklore of other lands, if you put the effort into poking around a little bit. quite fascinating really...

heh, i see you like the dichotomy of the Dragon and the Tiger...

Welp, that was curious.
Anyways, its still feels weird the "hisashi" part. But i guess will be cool in the "U.A" part

11971194 Yeah, I thought about it and decided it was a good idea.

11971233 Correct. I wanted to make this version of Nightmare feel like her own person, instead of copying Luna.

11971255 I understand. The reason I'm going under the 'Izuku's father is AFO' route is because that's what the author seemed to be suggesting for the longest time.

11971301
for even further references, the girls could get pets based on the other two Beasts: those are Suzoku, the Vermilion Bird; and Genbu, the Black Tortoise. Suzoku is said to guard the south, and Genbu the north. and just like Seiryu and Byakkuyo, they have elements tied to them: Suzoku is tied to Fire, Genbu to Water, Byakkuyo to Metal, and Seiryu to Wood. the Four are also tied to the Seasons, but that might be harder to work in...
