The Mystery

Okay before I do this chapter I'm giving credit to Hasee500 for this because we were talking about something then he mentioned something that made an idea pop up in my head(Never a good thing).Also I'm doing this chapter without a prereader becuase I wan't to see how well I can do without one since a certian event has made me think through what I'm typing

A storm was brewing,the wind howled in the night a sense of dread hung thick in the air as something was amiss,the creatures of the night roamed silently stalking any pray who may cross their paths.Two ponies stood outside of Sugercube corner it's lights still on even late at night
"Do you know the plan?" asked the first one who was slighty taller than their counterpart

"Yheah we're gonna get them good" said the second one with an insane laugh

"Have you got the stuff?" the shorter of the two threw a saddle on the ground landing between the duo

"What are you doing?,you could have broken it you numbskull" said the taller one anger evident in their voice

"I wouldn't worry about it" said the shorter one their voice cold and hard

"Why's that?"

"Because your contract has expired"

"AAAAAHHHHH" the ponies screams were drowned out by the thunder of the storm

"Three days" Brice thought as he making breakfast for himself and Twilight

"So Twilight you ready you been getting ready for the Running of the leaves?" he called out from the kitchen

"No I'll just do what I did last time"

"Oh what would that be?"

"Pace myself"

"Yheah I mean it's not like everypony does that" he had adopted to speaking like everypony to avoid confusing anypony he met

"No not really most ponies run full speed and then end up walking for the rest of the race"

"Oh right"

"Ugh dammit no bread" he thought

"Twilight I'm gonna go get some bread from the store,okay?"

"Okay don't take too long"

After short walk Brice approched the shop but to his suprise he saw a group of royal guards standing outside of Sugercube corner along with a massive crowd of ponies.

"Hey Zephy what's going on?"

"Dunno I think somepony got murdered"

"Who would do such a thing?"

"I dunno but they've put a suspect list on the notice board outside the town hall,wanna go check it out?"

"Okay mabye we'll catch somepony trying to take it town" he joked

"So Zeph you see anypony you know on the list?"

"U-um yheah one guy"

"Who?"

"You might wanna look yourself" he was nervous about something and Brice hoped it wasn't what he thought

He looked at the suspect list and the reward for brining them in

"One eye Bill:unicorn stallion,blue coat,red mane and no tail,Blank flank-600 bits
Eagle Eye:mare,peagasus,Black coat,no mane and tail,cutie mark:Knife and cloak-1000 bits

Daring Hope:mare,Earth pony,Green coat,Black mane,cutie mark:Three golden coins arranged in a circle-3000 bits

Zecora:mare,Zebra,Black and white,lives in Everfree forest-7,000 bits

Brice Kilmurray:Male,Human,two legs,two arms and hands-15,000 bits"

"Y-your under arrest under the authority of Sergeant Zephyr"

"Wait sergeant?.....your a spy?"

"I'm sorry Brice"

"Zephyr I didn't do this and you know it"

"Nether the less your a suspect and you must be intervie..."

"Bullshit you know Celestia will kill any suspects I've been in this world long enough to tell murder is extremely rare or that they have never occured"

"Look I don't want to have to hurt you man,come along quietly and I'll personaly make sure nothing happens"

"I can't take that risk" he quickly struck Zephyr knocking him to the ground

"I better leave no point in risking being caught going to the library" he began to run to Everfree forest leaving the list as a couple of guards ran over to help Zep

"Sir are you okay?"

"Yheah I'm fine just tripped that's all"

"I'm sure I saw that human run off"

"No that's an illusion trick somepony cast it to lead us his trail" he wasn't going to sell out one of his friends even if he did just knocked him down.

"I've got to warn Zecora" thought Brice

"Wait,what if she did do it" part of him thought

"NO,I shouldn't think that she's my friend I trust her"

"Your funeral thought the other side"

"Dam my thoughts" while he fought with himself he noticed a clearing with a hut

"Okay just go in their and explain everything hold nothing back" he opened the door to have a spear thrust into his knee

"AAAAUUUUGGGGHHHH" he screamed

"I'm sorry Brice I expected a guard to come,I would stun him to ask of what's going on"

"It's okay just a flesh wound but I guess you what''s happend then?"

"Yes we must make haste if we are to find the disgraced"

"Disgraced"

"You try rhyming with murderer"

"Um...okay you got me there"

"I think this is it" came a voice from outside.Brice peeked out the window to see four stallions approching the hut no doubt to capture Zecora

"You ready to fight?" he asked,she replied with a node and they burst out of the hut.

Author's note:Okay I know this may seem really........odd but if people want I'll go back to the orginal way of doing it aka funny,random events and the running of the leaves.
