I can only assume that Flam shaved his mustache. Or Flim grew one.

Brilliant use of the framing device and unreliable narrator, though there are times when the characters seem to forget what species they are. (“That’s repulsive! Foal-sized rocket launchers are a crime against humanity,” "When—you know, and I had my hands around your neck," and so forth.) Aside from that, a gripping tale of politics, business, and romance, a dangerous mixture indeed. Thank you for it, and best of luck in the judging.
