Interesting take on the story.
I did enjoy reading the story, although I feel there was a missing chapter or two. I'd have been curious how the Element of Magic affected Sunset, given what it did to Luna. And of course how the retirement of the Elements of Harmony affected Celestia's plans.
I'm surprised Luna didn't see this coming despite being told that she was to become a servant in exchange for freedom.

Oh very well done anything about Luna usually makes me happy and this definitely did, now I want more.
This has been a pretty good story so far. The premise isn't exactly original, but I can see you've put some thought into the scenario. In fact, you've even touched on some elements that I myself have used in my stories (not that I'm complaining). My biggest complaint would probably be the pacing of this. For such a serious character drama, it moves very fast, which makes it feel a bit contrived in some places. Additionally, you have a few mechanical errors here and there that could have warranted some more proofreading.
So it’s possible for the elements to be used for evil. Interesting.
Why would luna accept that deal?
So both celestia and sunset are selfish maniacs? No wonder people think of them as mother and daughter.
Why not show twilight the second part?

Luna would be a better ruler.
What will rainbow dash do with this information? It also makes you wonder about the human celestia and luna.
