Jade Ring

The purpose of a story is that it's a story. It can be more, but it can never be less.

This story is a sequel to The Wicker Mare

For years and years, the old mare has been sitting beside the river in quiet contemplation. One fateful day, a filly asks her why.

Written to mark the 50th Anniversary of Robin Hardy and Anthony Shaffer's 'the Wicker Man.'

Sounds like Ponyville fell to a cult… I get Backwater Gospel vibes from this….

I just want to say, nice story, especially after reading the pervious story from which this sequel came from

well that got dark, uh
Maybe you should add a light gore tag or something, you don't have to, but some of the implied imagery was really disturbing,

Overall good story

I considered it, but decided against it given that it's two lines in an almost 2000 word story. And, as you said, it's more implied than anything else.

As usual your horror stories are amazing.
This makes a great sequel but it even works as a stand alone. There's enough implications of Applejack's past to figure out what happened if you haven't read the original.

As above, so below.

Wonder if the ending only happened because the offerings stopped or if it was just coincidence. Anyways, that was a fun read.

So much for sleep tonight
