"Jimmy Hook's the Name, Transformations is my Game" (Victim of The Cursed Gift since September 2016)

It is said that in times of danger, heroes will come together to face the rising tide of evil, and fight back to preserve the light. These heroes can come from the strangest of places.

This is the story of one such hero. Although she appears to be Izzy Moonbow, you may be surprised to learn her true origins...

Part of the Rebirth of Magic continuity. Tags will be updated as the story continues.

Hey there. Thanks very much for getting this story started. The reflections, characterization and future chapter set-up are rather well done. I'm guessing this probably starts at least some time between the opening flashback and "present day" of the movie (especially since this is mentioned to be the "REBIRTH of Magic" series), as well as implying that, in this universe, ALL the Mane Five (plus the other three heroes passingly mentioned for right now) will have been previously human reincarnated as an Equestrian character. But that's ALL I'm going to guess for the time being.

Anyway, really looking forward to more of this.

this is the 2nd Character that I have transformed into whose name happens to be Izzy. :P

Who was the first?

It means I was a human, just like you! Assuming it's a human who is reading this, that is.

Wait, how do you know about

I mean, ha ha HA! Of course I'm a human! What a funny joke!

Izzy is (presumably) in ponyland when telling the story.

Enjoying it so far. Can't wait for more.

Heh
This is why i like transformation
The idea of becoming something new always Fascinated me
Who knows what you could do with it?

Hey there. Thanks immensely for getting this next chapter up, depicting your character's reaction to becoming Izzy and making realizations concerning where and when he/she is. Again, the exchange, characterizations and future chapter set-up are well done. Really looking forward to more of this.

Alright, you've really done a good job with Izzy here. The scene where she cleans up her home actually coveys a lot about her character despite being so simple. Well done, looking forward to more.

Hey there. Thanks very much for getting the next chapter to this up. I really appreciate you going to the effort. Again, the characterizations, exchange and future chapter set-up are well done. So it looks like this was pretty early in the "present day" of the movie, setting up Sunny and Izzy's first meeting. Also liked how Izzy was gathering supplies for the trip before Alphabittle came for a visit.

It seems a pretty safe bet that somebody else was also reincarnated as Sunny, but there won't be a lot of clues as to who until later chapters in the story and, even then, the full reveal will be in another story entirely.

Anyway, really looking forward to more of this.

So Izzy is finally officially starting her journey after a slight delay. Appreciated the reflection of all the precautions she took before setting off as well as the reflection on being able to see things in greater detail than the movie had time to show. The "hammerspace" gags were also well-liked.

REALLY liked the characterization and future chapter set-up, of course. Very eagerly awaiting more.

Her journey has begun! Hopefully she doesn't get lost along the way...

Excellent job on this latest chapter. The greater detail on things encountered during the trip to Maretime Bay was beautiful stuff, as was the wondering about horseshoes. But, now, we're in the early stages of the movie (Sunny and Izzy's first meeting, the other Earth ponies being scared of Izzy).

REALLY good characterization and I'm really looking forward to more of this next month.

TFing aside, this could easily be a missing seen from the movie. Well done.

I personally, am a 3rd level half-elf bard.

That's pretty much the vibe we've been going for with this series.

And now we got this story back up and running. Again, the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up are well done. Definitely liked how well you did recapping the stuff from "Sunny's" story at this point from "Izzy's" viewpoint and adding a few extra details, especially the reactions "Hitch" and "Sprout" had to "Izzy" already knowing their names and "Izzy's" reflection on what "Sunny" meant by "or worse".

Definitely looking forward to more of this.

It makes sense Sunny wasn't aware of those details as she was busy doing something else. Not only that, Izzy has other priorities.

First of all, Happy Birthday. :-D

Second, thanks very much for getting the next chapter up, especially with the effort going into the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up.

Definitely liked the bits of extra descriptions about "Sunny" and "Izzy's" trip to Zephyr Heights (including the encounter with "Zipp" mentioned toward the end of the fifth chapter of "Sunny's" story as well as the general reaction to "Zipp" already knowing them before the guards caught them).

VERY much looking forward to more of this.

Again, you did an excellent job on the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up. Again, the bits with the guards and the royals before "Sunny" and "Izzy" met "Misty" were well done. And, yeah, Izzy doing the bit with the "mayonnaise" twice, as was Sunny pointing out that Izzy doing that wasn't funny was also a good added bit. And now, "Zipp" knows that "Sunny", "Izzy" and "Misty" are all former humans-turned-ponies and vice versa. That's another good part as that will help at least somewhat when they get around to making their plans.

VERY much looking forward to more of this.

Once more, you did an excellent on the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up in this latest chapter. Definitely like "Izzy's" reflections on the palace after they were allowed to explore it. And, yes, "Izzy's" acknowledgement of how well "Pipp" and "Misty" were seeming to get along was another good detail. Also liked the discussion of "sleep tea".

Once more, definitely looking forward to more of this.

Once more, you did a really good job on the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up here. REALLY liked the confirmation of the "omnivore" deal for G5 ponies as well as the greater detail on the discussion of the plan from "Izzy's" end as well as "Misty" getting distracted and "Sunny" mentioning she already had the Earth Pony crystal from Phase One on that story.

VERY much looking forward to more of this.

Again, you did a great job on the dialogue, characterizations and future chapter set-up. Certainly appreciated the reflection on the botched heist from "Izzy's" viewpoint as she and "Sunny" were dodging pursuit and demonstrating frustrations concerning the number of fake crowns. And, yeah, the interactions with the other Pegasi during the pursuit also added to the chaos. Well, the heist was a bust and the group is going to have to think of something else.

Anyway, really looking forward to more of this.

Again, a really good job on the dialogue, characterizations and future chapter set-up. Certainly appreciated the reactions to the rapid revolution (especially concerning how strict the revolutionists are being - ESPECIALLY compared to the former and future "royals" who, aside from the lies, actually treated the populace pretty well for the most part) as well as "Pipp's" response to the captures of both "Zipp" and "Haven". And "Sunny" had a really good point about how trying to mount a rescue would, at best, result in ALL of them being captured and at worst - well, you get the idea. And then, either way, result in all they worked for being for nothing. And then, really appreciated "Izzy" trying to comfort and talk to "Sunny" about "her" nightmares later on.

Anyway, really looking forward to more of this.

I though pegasus used absolute monarchy...?

Well, let's see what the unicorn had in store for war.

I hope they have bioweapon. I want to see T-virus used in conventional war.:rainbowlaugh:

It's established in the other stories that Zephyr Heights is a constitutional monarchy. If you want a particular insight, give this a read:

I might've glossed over that. The fact that the Queen had so much power over military, budget, and dealing with prisoners must've blindsided me.

Another really well done job on the dialogue, characterizations and future chapter set-up. REALLY liked the preparations for breakfast while the characters were discussing their lives both as humans and as ponies (now all of them except "Sprout" are in the know concerning the "humans sharing the bodies and memories of the ponies") before discussing the plans to get to Bridlewood and the mentions of hearing stories both as humans AND as "ponies" about how often the heroes tend to win in these sort of situations just when things seem the darkest. Of course, "Hitch" was right in that not only did they require all three crystals, but also needed to convince the three pony tribes to unify (which is going to be the hardest part, but not impossible).

Anyway, really looking forward to more of this.

Again, you did an excellent job on the dialogue, characterizations and future chapter set-up. Certainly liked the stuff about "Sunny" trying to prepare "PIpp's" favorite breakfast as well as "Izzy" comforting "Sunny" after the argument was mentioned. The commentary about splitting up to cover both of the possible paths, yeah. I could see where that would be a mistake, given the circumstances. And the point about comparing notes on all three of the viewpoints concerning the battle was another good one. Unfortunately, "Sunny" and "Izzy" just stumbled across a massive war machine. Hopefully, the operator or operators turn out to be friendlies. Either that, or "Sunny" and "Izzy" can outmaneuver them.

Anyway, definitely looking forward to the next/last chapter for this batch, as well as the next batches for "Misty", "Pipp" and "Sprout".
