Shortly after The Failure and disaster of Apollo 11 during the height of the cold war, Rigdon, A NASA engineer finds himself reluctantly agreeing to a Private project. After getting too close, he finds himself in a familiar Unicorn's Tree Library.
Wow, that got escalated too quickly. I know that the Russians will come eventually, but not this soon!?
And I know they are the bad guys, but WHY did they mindlessly slaughtered the innocent ponies? They aren't even humans or americans, and have nothing to do with the cold war.
Seriously, they found a new world and new sentient life. And the first thing on the Soviet's minds is to f****** shoot them, no questions asked or diplomacy!? The heck!?
11529356 Keep in mind, magical ponies can prove very useful! After all, who knows what capabilities they might achieve from harvesting magic from the ponies
Huh interesting, a day in equestria is a week or month in earth possibly since the Russians wouldn't be able to fix the machine within a day with the axe that mark took to it unless he did less damage then I'm thinking of and even if it was little damage it would have taken a while for the Russians to repair it without documents.
11529578 Yeah, Time moves a bit differently in Equestria. Right now on Earth, it's about mid 1970 by now. The invasion scene takes place about a couple of days after Rigdon is sent to Equestria. The command computers that powered it were destroyed, but they can just use the computers upstairs for the basis of their repair, and the actual portal itself was nearly untouched, save for the wiring that Mark had cut. Near the end, I did say that they were able to recover and translate some of the files. Either way, this is only about a handful of troops, (A platoon having only 20-50 or so give or take). So this is really a test run for the Russians. The real force will be coming later. Hope this helps

Thank you! It helped me understand timeline better!
Thanks for the update!
I don’t like how dehumanized the soldiers are. they are enemies but they are still human.
