Cozy Glow intends to show her new friends exactly how pony holidays should be celebrated.

I wrote this story between Thanksgiving and Christmas, so it's a little bit of both, I'm just publishing it very late.

Nothing short of absolutely precious treat, to remember all the fun holidays and warm your heart. Everything is just on point, and imagery of the narrative is so vivid, i can almost feel it with my own hands. It's like i'm there!

Fun story. I liked how Cozy was essentially being herself. Really, Twilight should have expected this when making them attend.

At what point of time in the story does this take place and let me say this, Isn't it kind of stupid for Twilight just to let them all out like this? Twilight and her friends should be smarter than this and leave them in stone right? And if they are going to be reformed, They are going to do it one by one and not release all of them from stone at once.. Plus that decision could be really unpopular with the public..

This was hilarious but I still don't understand why Twilight released them from stone and then be out there even celebrating Hearthswarming? The Twilight in the original would never agree to that statement and even then about reforming and having them learned friendship would be better if she only released and teach them friendship one by one while the others are still in stone.

Nope, t'was someone else.
But!
Since i'm here, i'd like to say that, though your question is perfectly valid, since this is fanfiction and all characters are subject to interpretation, no one would ever really act as their "original" self. So a good and entertaining execution of an idea will always have more merit than the sequence of events that led to it.
I figure there was some implied history behind this story where villains acted at least "good" before these events, so Twilight let loose of a leash for one day.
And, well, hijinks ensue.

given that they are not hiding, but live in Ponyville, it is likely that Twilight herself thawed them in order to confirm her title of "princess of friendship" to re-educate them.
although why are the employees of the "school of friendship" not involved in the villains? this is their direct responsibility. Who needs a "school" that can't fulfill its purpose?
