Made me cry at the end. Darn you for making me feel EMOTIONS.

I guess I should have seen it coming, giving that one of the character's is named Bittersweet, but that ending still caught me off guard.

Great story. It got me in the feels. :fluttershysad:

“Huh,” Apollo said. “From an alicorn’s youth?”

aww, that must sound to them what the idea of Celestia’s youth sounds to us

A day to meet with friends, to spend time with loved ones. A day to ground them in the world they had left behind, even if it was all virtual.

aww, knew it! much more efficient to send signals across the interstellar distance than to send the mass of a pony back and forth along with their life support, to speak nothing of the time involved.

and it’s a fascinating idea! i can imagine as the cost of physical travel increases and information transmission decreases, it will be more and more common to physically “visit” places through inhabiting robot bodies like this. of course, even for terrestrial distances the speed of light is too slow to prevent latency, so faster-than-light transmission would really be necessary for a creature to feel fully embodied doing this

a cute story, thank you for writing!
