Perfect ending to this story Shakes. I guess that these were the same team of Aliens that had to put up with the Unicorn's Non Action & they were far less willing to play coy with these 2. He, Cream got her Cream at last. And her Son was tought how to Mash Buttons for whole other game. A Heart felt moment i must say, i also loved the fact that He got new batteries for his game as reward, but still choes Multiplayer with Mommy.
Freaking fantastic story Shakes, freaking fantastic. It hit all of the right spots for me.

I've gotten to thinking of some of the behind the scenes aspects of this world. What is it that leads these people to consistently pick family members as breeding pairs?
Is someone in a lab or an office somewhere pulling their hair out wondering why the creatures they grabbed from Equestria are relatively hesitant to fuck?
Is the whole lab team doing it intentionally because they think it's hot?
Is the whole thing simply a miscalibration of their tools, and they keep picking up creatures that share 99.9% DNA instead of 99%?
And I'm sure you've thought of more, but I realised a type of relationship you haven't got yet. You haven't got family members who were banging even before getting picked up. They can be exhibitionists, happy to put on a show for the researchers.

As Unicorns was originally written, the meta was an allegory to actual human efforts to save endangered species by breeding them in captivity. Generally it was pairs of animals that were geographically close together. Pandas were specifically chosen to be in Unicorns because of the real-world difficulty the zoo keepers had getting them to try to breed. The joke being "What if they are siblings and don't want to fuck?" Of course no original idea stays that way for long. And there was a large demand for sequel(s).
To try to stay with the original premise, I'd like to think that the ship crew is simply grabbing pairs of ponies that happening to be standing next to each other, and assuming that they are in a sexual relationship. Like any proper crack-shipper.

honestly, I was expecting The Last Earth Ponies to be just a quick joke of a chapter, with the selected pair being someone like Applejack and Big Macintosh.
