2337869 This story is one in a series. I actually have no idea what those other ones are, so I wouldn't expect to be able to compare to them. Maybe I should check those out for some tips.

They're both great stories. Hard Reset is action and comedy, and The Best Night Ever is based heavily on the movie Groundhog's Day.

If you're looking for ideas, Groundhog's Day is (if I'm not mistaken) the original source of the time-loop story. It's very good, and I'd recommend watching it if you haven't.

There is also a very popular time-loop episode in the Stargate series (not sure which one). It's mostly good for the comedic elements, though. First part is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZTCYkEPAY4 (watching the rest of the series isn't really necessary to get the humor)

2338670 Thanks for the tips. I may have to re-watch Groundhog Day and that stargate episode. I'm using an episode from Supernatural mainly for this one. But every little bit helps.
