The Great and Powerful Trixie has her eye on a place in Twilight's circle of friends at Celestia's School... and then suddenly discovers it may be her only chance to *stay* at the School...
It's been six months since Tirek was defeated, and Trixie is fine. Trixie isn't scared. She's not lonely, or sad, or even worried. She is, however, unable to sleep. And yet the nightmares won't stop coming.
Needing a break, Twilight and her AP team visit a quiet little town... named Ponyville. And it's such a peaceful, pleasant place, it's a wonder they've never been there before...
A teenaged Fluttershy, sick of being stuck dealing with her baby brother, makes a wish she should not have made. Now, with her brother in the hands of the Chaos King, she must venture through a labyrinthian version of Ponyville to save him.
Princess Twilight Sparkle is moving to Canterlot. Ruling over Equestria does not give one much time to spend away from Canterlot, and so she must say goodbye to her old home.
The castle was hard to get used to. Even more so than Twilicorn, we didn’t see that coming in the slightest. It made sense for her to get a new house after Tirek lasered the Golden Oaks. But the Castle of Friendship always looked too artificial when comparing it to Ponyville which kept the simplistic theme. Buildings like the movie theater and bowling alley were set apart to enough yet still felt like part of town. The Treehouse of Harmony was better designed with its pink leaf design. I would’ve loved a tree-like castle.
Stone and plant intertwined to create Twilight’s new home... A wizard/mage tower could have worked too. She has always been more modest when it came to being royalty. Of course, these are old gripes most occasionally have about the crystal castle. Cadance’s castle fits better alongside the Castle of Friendship. Generic it may be to give magic-centered characters tree houses, but it works well enough.
A very nice little moment inside Twilight’s head! I really enjoy reading things that give her some space to spread her wings and ponder her place in the world. The responsibility she faces is very compelling under the right lenses, and this does a great job of it!
Very good story. Really shows how we the fans from day one to the end really enjoyed the series with twilight leaving her home and how she and the fans still got used to the idea of it. But yeah change is hard but so is life.
Although she could have just moved the capital to ponyville instead but eh that’s just mine opinion
Read this while stoned, good Trixie characterization

I wonder if Twilight registered the castle's hand gesture subconsciously.

Grammatical errors aside (speedwriting often causes these issues) this is pretty damn good. For a first I'm quite impressed. Please keep it up.

This seems like a very Trixie thing to do. It is also a very heartfelt story. Feels right in place in an episode to be honest.
