This was delightful to read. You had me smiling throughout the entire time. Even though my headcanon desperately wants to disagree with the notion that Celestia is a coffee-pony. (That... was a joke. There are as many versions of anypony as there are writers. Probably more.)
I do like the idea of including 'real' recipes in stories. I might try these pancakes sometime. I played around with the idea as well at some point and might do so again in the future, it just... adds a little nice something. The fact that everything turned out as it did... had lesson zero-vibes for me, somehow. Just less cringy and more her usual brand of adorkableness.
Anyway. A bigger TwiLestia was teased, I'll come around to that eventually.

Very cute
I work food service on the local college campus, and last year we had an AYCE brunch on the weekends. My station was the omelette/pancake station. Granted we use industrial "mixes" except for one time where we ran out due to a shipping delay or some such. I got pretty good at flipping pancakes and even took to occasionally making funny-shaped or flavored pancakes (blueberry or chocolate chip). And through some experimenting of my own I even made a handful of crepes. This year due to the food costs and other issues we have it shaved down to a more continental style breakfast like you might find at a small hotel (bacon/eggs/waffle machine/etc).
I loved this and how you're able to pull us in with such a simple tale of somepony just trying to make pancakes for their special someone. This was a great way to start the new year with reading and I can't wait to read what else you have cooking.
