Every writer on this site is free to write whatever they want. Even when it isn't considered popular or in good taste, they still write it anyway. Even when I see fics that I don't like, dealing in subjects that I personally find bad or disgusting, I don't tell the authors that their work is crap for merely doing it. That's because at the end of the day, hating someone or their work of shipping fictional characters isn't a productive use of anyone's time.
Plus, just because you have the full right to say whatever you want, doesn't mean that it excuses you from the consequences of it. Everyone can see the comments you posted. Everyone can read that you called this fic garbage - not from the quality of the story that you refuse to read, not from any poor grammar, or if anything is out of character - but simply because you don't like the ship. Understandably, people have certain tastes in shipping fictional characters, but those who post ships that are different than what you prefer - they neither pick our pockets nor break our legs. For they're doing it not out of maliciousness, but because it's fun.
Telling others what they should or shouldn't be doing with their own talents to conform to your tastes is unethical. And you're doing yourself no favors by insulting the author because those outside from yourself know blind hate when we see it. And notice I've never once insulted you nor cursed at you when I disagreed with you, and do what I can to give my reason for disagreeing. You may try to be nice, but being nice is different from being kind.
Gallus as a power-bottom is a definite win. Hope you do well in the contest results!
