Since jerkface didn't like humans he probably made the ones stuck living on the same continent hate living there. So ideally by the time the hero makes it back to the continent the vibe would be completely different and the people would be working with demons or at the least like her.

Most isekai fall into the "let's rehash this cus this genre is popular" category without much thought or the manga and anime either add tropes that weren't in the novel or cut scenes away. Though they have recently gotten better about the cutting scenes away part.

Most of the good ones fall into the Maiden reincarnation or Otome Isekai. I found that Normal Isekai fall into the rehashing far worse than anything else and the overuse of harem cliche is horrible.

Eh. The issue I see with that one is I've seen that idea done before. Obviously without the preamble about isekai but still.
The funny thing about Isekais is that so many of them get released that the only way to stand out is to do something "unique", but even that uniqueness eventually leads to copycats. Like how Overlord spawned a bunch of stories with getting reincarnated/summoned as "the bad guy" (How Not to Summon a Demon Lord), Rising of the Shield Hero spawned a bunch of stories about the protagonist being screwed over royally and getting revenge (Redo of the Healer, Nidome no Yuusha), or how That Time I Reincarnated as a Slime spawned a bunch of stories about the protagonist getting turned into a benign entity that grows to become incredibly overpowered (Re:Monster, So I'm a Spider, So What?). It's to the point where we've got stories like Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, where the entire thing is a meta-commentary on The Gamer / Peggy Sue / Summon / Reincarnation type stories, where the main character is living out a web novel he's read, with one of the characters being a writer who's ripped off the novel in question specifically because of how prevalent such stories are in the world (and then lo and behold, there's a story called Return to Player with an eerily similar premise...).
It's like a rabbit hole that never ends. At the very least, it gives my dad more things to watch because he can't get enough of isekai anime.
