Usually "Human-In-Equestria" stories involve bronies. What if instead the person involved is just outside the target demographic but violently allergic to rainbows and singing equines of a distinctly dazzling hue?
She hadn't wanted to come but she wasn't given a choice. The ponies were garish, the monsters were scary and her options were limited. If she ever wanted to see home again she'd have to solve the mystery behind her kidnapping while making sure she stayed alive long enough to do it...

Well... for such a short intro into Equestria history it was pretty damn awesome. Great now I feel the need to track down a book about Irish mythology just to see the human side (like Teelo that is part of my family's history). Good job on forging the mythos for Equestria.

I don't think you will get bugged about canon, considering the number of fics that break it. Seeing that we don't know where the Alicorns came from or where the ponies themselves came from as well you did a good job on that.

At least I managed to guess a third of the plot twist, namely that Discord wasn't the only one meddling. But I believed him adversial to Nightmare and didn't expect Nightmare to be the adversary. According to everything we've seen salt is the intoxicant of choice for ponies. As with sensible humans fermented berries are viewed at best with caution by ponies. As Luna said, "as with any mild poison"...
Ethyl alchohol is a poison, even if you have to consume pretty enormous amounts to kill you. Besides, if you weigh (on average) 400 pounds and have a fast metabolism (especially pegasi) then alchohol isn't likely to be all that useful to get drunk.
