This story is a sequel to Forgiven
After hearing so much fun that her cousin Silverstream has been having at the School of Friendship, Princess Skystar wants to join her there, feeling like her mother Queen Novo doesn’t have time for her anymore. Unfortunately, Novo is less than willing, remembering what happened when Twilight tried to steal the Pearl of Transformation, and wanting her daughter to stay and become a princess.
With applications due in a week, will Skystar be able to convince her mother to let her go to the School and break down the emotional barriers that inhibit them both? Will Queen Novo finally be able to put the past behind her and accept her daughter’s wishes? It’s complicated….
A/N: This story is canon to the Misty Saga.

In all honesty, I really hated Queen Novo. I understand she was just trying to protect her kingdom, but she had no right to treat Twilight and the others like crap.
I get the feeling this is gonna be an epic showdown!

While Queen Novo’s harsh demeanor towards Twilight and her friends was certainly off-putting, it is perfectly understandable in my opinion. Keep in mind, people react to trauma in different ways, and we don’t even know the full story. We’re only told so much about what happened through Skystar’s telling of events, but if you really think about it, what happened the day that the Storm King came was probably far more dark and grim. If we think about it from a realistic perspective, which I often like to do in analyses, a lot of hippogriffs were probably slaughtered in the attack, some of them might’ve been captured, and the decision to flee underwater was probably a lot harder on Novo than we were told. Think about it. She had to evacuate her ENTIRE kingdom underwater, develop a new way of living, assure her subjects that everything was going to be okay when she herself probably wasn’t feeling so herself, and live in constant fear that the Storm King could return and genocide them all in an instant. All because she trusted a bunch of outsiders. It’s practically an allegory for colonialism/imperialism. And yet she still pushed on, burying all of that doubt under a facade of stoicism and resolution. Heck, if I had to go through what she went through, I’d be the exact same way.
Try to put yourself in her shoes (or fins in this case) and try to see this how she saw it. That’s just my take though.

Oh you betcha it will be. It’ll be the culmination of everything we’ve been building towards. I’ll be most likely using “Redeemed” (and probably the entire Misty Saga as a whole) as kind of a tone setter for the upcoming Lunar Literary Universe, with the grand style of action and deep character moments being placed at the forefront. Being my most ambitious Saga of the two that I have, I’m quite impressed with the results that the Misty Saga has brought and if “Redeemed” sticks the landing, the formula could work long-term.
Only time will tell.

I guess it all worked out in the end, even if I lashed out at my friends, got captured by Tempest, got my magic stolen, battled for the Staff of Sacanas, and almost died several times, all things that could’ve been avoided with the Pearl. But it still all worked out just peachy!”

For real. I’d like to imagine that the conversation devolved into awkwardness pretty quickly after Twilight said that.
I actually had a hard time getting through this story. Not because it was bad or anything, it was because I was afraid of this argument. At first, I completely agreed with Novo and her reasoning, but as the story went, Skystar completely won me over. And she's right. Her joining The School of Friendship was probably the best thing for both of them. Now Novo can dedicate all her time for her kingdom and Skystar will have company. Overall, a very satisfying read. Well done!
Okay, I'll be honest, the other stories drove me away with the Multiverse title, I'm not really a fan of that thing, but this setting has me hooked! Interested to see where this is going!

I’m so happy you enjoyed it! Surprisingly, writing character conflicts for me isn’t as hard as it used to be and as I said, this one’s been in the ‘ol noggin for a while now. I’ve always wanted to see a story that really touches on what Skystar and Novo’s relationship is like nowadays, as well as what Novo thinks of Twilight now, especially now that Twilight’s the ruler of Equestria. Since I didn’t see a story like that, I made one. Definitely proud of the results and perhaps I might make more. The main point was to make Novo a more sympathetic character in readers’ eyes and to flesh out Skystar some more and judging by your feedback, I say I succeeded. Thanks for your feedback.

Yeah, multiverse stories can be hit or miss, but the thing about this series is…it’s not a reeeaaaaallll multiverse. The title’s just there because it sounds cool for a series name. It’s really just a generational crossover series at the end of the day and I think you’d like them. It’s your call though. As for what’s next, the plot’s only thickening now and I can’t wait for you to see what the next entry in this Saga has in store. If you always wanted more from Opaline as a character, then you’re going to love “The Fall of Opaline” and “Redeemed.” Let it be known, we’re just getting started.

Wow that was some emotional roller coaster here so skystar felt lonely for the past few months after silver stream left and she's been really thinking about this whole situation why her mother never really pays attention to her so now she has to figure out and she did talk to her mother and things got really heavy that skystar admitted how much she was so lonely that her mother Queen Novo never really pay attention and even couldn't forgive Twilight for what happened at that event of the movie which Sky Star had to say that what if that's the same thing would you do the same thing what Twilight would do and she would and she felt even more a shame about that and she really don't want skystar to feel lonely anymore so she decided to let her go to the school of friendship which I think it's a neat idea and it looks like things are getting much better between these two later in the month it looks like Twilight and queen Novo had to talk to each other and even buried a hatchet after that event which I guess it's a start between them at least hopefully things will go very well for them

Wow that actually really escalated so quickly but it's pretty awesome anyway so skystar Was preparing to go to Ponyville to be with her cousin and starting a new life but before she could she saw Izzy and surprisingly Misty and Izzy told skystar the situation about a pony name Opaline not only kidnapping Sparky but also sunny as well which that's a big problem so skystar worn her mother Queen Novo and talk with the other two ponies once again Izzy explain this whole situation to the queen and how the future that other creatures have hidden away and basically never show themselves which we should get like the changelings the Griffins the yaks the dragons the Buffalo's and the kirins since that Alicorn is crazy powerful but anyway it looks like Queen Novo made a vow to make sure the history would not repeat itself and given the message to the Great great grandchildren's and it looks like it really worked we changed the past because in the new generation of G5 the new Queen of the hippograph Skygrace got the message from her dying mother which that's pretty sad and right on time that Misty and Izzy arrive and told him about the situation and asking their help to stop a mad Pony which it looks like it worked so with that hopefully maybe other creatures will help out the situation as well because don't forget the young 6 can spread that message to their respective Kingdom as well hopefully they can stop her but I guess that's another story got to say this was a pretty epic one keep up the good work

Well I guess that's also another problem because skystar is played by a big name actress Kristin Chenoweth and the characters from the movie who also have a big names and there's times that they can't reprise their characters again especially from a TV show they were lucky enough they got Weird Al to play his character again and at least the characters from the movie either make their Cameo appearances or at least mention in the show instead of just forgetting them completely and messing up the continuity
