I honestly am not a fan of futanari no matter how well written it is. If you wanted to make it a story of Spike breeding the entire Kiren tribe you could have just left him a male, no need to changes his gender and make him a futa for no reason other than the horny. I mean I'm sorry but futanari is just a turn off for me. Maybe you could do an alternate version for those who have more conventional taste.

you could add in a bit of drama over in ponyville as since the kirin godess has reterned then maby her magic in everfree will start to dissapate. After all the everfree could have been her magics way of trying to defend her so now she is back the magic could decide to retern home. it would also allow you to have a reason for celestia and luna to have to talk with spike and get some asnwers from them
