Dash vs. Dog

Applejack is determined for Rainbow Dash to get along better with Winona, even when her marefriend insists she's not a dog person.

Aww, sweet!
I agree with Dash, dogs just aren't my speed. Prefer birds. Their fast - most of the time - can fly, and are adorable. Reminds me of a certain cyan somepony.
Anywho. This was adorable! Short, yes, but adorable! Dash and Aj's dynamics never fail to make me smile, and Winona was just the icing on the cake. The dialogues went smoothly, and felt in character - coming from a story that didn't do chatarizations all that well, that felt refreshing to read.
You know, Winona really deserves more love! This is one of the first stories I'm coming across of her, poor gal!
Nicely written, happy to see more ApleDash stories popping up.

Fair enough. I wanted Rainbow to be a hypocrite more than anything else, rather than having any genuine reason to stay away from dogs.

Applejack pursed her lip. "Sure. Though I can't think of many ponies who don't think a dog makes cuddlin' better. And cause we're outside, it ain't like she's shedding on furniture or anything. We Apples tend to be pretty strict with Winona. I'd say she deserves a little something like this."

aww, this captures how dog people just can't understand that not everyone might be a dog person pretty well! and Applejack being all about how the way she does things is just the sensible way to do it makes it work even better

"You're both loyal as can be. You're athletic, never give up, ya love your food, and you're always full of energy. Oh, and when ya want attention, ya come barreling into me." Applejack answered with ease.
Rainbow grinned sheepishly. "You got me there. I guess I never thought about it like that."

hehe, i never thought about it that way either! and Applejack being a dog equine does make the AppleDash work in a funny way.
