But as he begins researching the subject, a member of Celestia's council is murdered in front of him, the killer jams the knife into Midnight's hoof and he is framed for the murder. Celestia orders his execution and he flees, determined to find the murderer and stop the corruption that has leaked into his world.

Again, any constructive criticism is appreciated, and please don't sugar coat it if you didn't like it say so :twilightsheepish:
All I ask is no nasty comments

i think of assassins creed with ponies when i read this :pinkiehappy:

1276670 I've never actually played assassin's creed and I have no knowledge of the story but ok I guess :rainbowkiss:

Colt is a male child (not baby, thats foal), why do people find it easier to call a full grown stallion a colt? :flutterrage:
ahem ok , maybe you're just unsure about it like some. :pinkiecrazy:

Also "Yes my lord." better would be "Yes my lady." or "Yes my liege."

My guess is either Midnight will somehow save himself with an assassin trick or two or he will come back as a ghost or something.

1278609 colt is is a child? -_- now i feel dumb. lol i'll fix that soon.

1279220

A colt is a male horse, under the age of four. I'm not 100% sure but in the show the CMC's were called fillies, the female version of this age group.

Dont feel bad, a lot of people dont know it i bet.

Ok before even finishing it, have to stop.

Last chapter he didnt have his blade, the assassin did. Now he has it? Its frigging evidence and they would disarm him before bringing him to the princess first...

They being his employee they would know he has some extra blades hidden i guess (why didnt he use it to fight the assassin then?)

1312784 1) whoever the assassin may be, they managed to get a hold of Midnight's blade (the one Celestia gave to him) and Midnight didn't exactly have time to react, especially without a blade. So the murderer put it in his hoof and fled. 2) Celestia, being in the form she is doesn't care for evidence. I mean it's not like she gave Midnight a trial, she wanted him executed, what good would evidence do? Besides, i don't think she expected Midnight to actually break the chains binding him.

1313170

Still doesnt explain them not disarming him first (i know its the point in this chapter because how else could he have fought and killed all this guards instead of trying to make a run for it, but then Celestia would still probably stop him with her magic or something) , Celestia is the way she is, i could easily see her killing of every single of the other royal guards just because they allowed an armed assassin near her and did not disarm him. Being a Mad Mare and all that.

The Evidence part is my mistake, i should have used "weapon that can be used to harm and should be removed or else the princess will be pissed and probably kill all others for doing this mistake". :rainbowhuh::rainbowlaugh:

1313318 the guards are possessed by Celestia, they don't have free will because they wouldn't remain loyal to her when she meant mad. they can't think for themselves so they didn't disarm Midnight because they didn't have the mind to think to do so.

1314763

That would explain it all, and the "sudden" use of mind control from Celestia, not so sudden if she used it on all the other guards hehe. :trollestia:
