We find Twilight Sparkle on her desk trying her best to come up with a good battle plan as Sweetie Belle and snails surveyed her. Our young unicorn couldn't help but grumble in disgust that her once home/library was now reduced to a makeshift battle planning headquarters of some sort, and what's worse she was to come up with the battle plans for when Chrysalis is ready to take over every part of Equestria. The fact that she was tasked to jot out the battle plan to take over the rest of Equestria including Canterlot and the Crystal empire with the possibility of her older brother, sister in law, and teacher getting overthrown made our young unicorn more and more worried and nervous. To make matters worse she was under the supervision of Sweetie belle who observed her battle plans and made her redo the entire thing if it wasn't to her and the Changeling queens liking, Twilight however Didn't bother to complain or even fight back out of fear of something happening to her and Spike and that she felt that she deserved it after having a hand in driving the poor girls out of town in the first place, as she finished sketching out the last section of the battle plans she soon presented it to Sweetie belle who was quick to look over it like a test from school.

"Mhmmmmmmmmmmmmm" She observed. " Interesting, not bad , not bad at all Twilight. This is defiantly an improvement over yesterdays failure, the queen's gonna love this Applepaloosa wont know what hit them"

"Hooray" Twilight said sarcastically.

"But next time go easy on the ink, it don't grow on tree's you know?" Sweetie belle replied.

"I'm well aware of that , If you don't mind me asking Sweetie belle" Twilight began. " since when do you know so much about battle plans?"

"MmmmMmmMmMmmmmMmMmM??????!!!!!!!" Spike said or should I say mumbled due to the muzzle covering his mouth.

"Spike" Sweetie belle said turning to the dragon. " You know you can take your muzzle off when Chrysalis isn't in the room right?" After her statement the young dragon was quick to remove his muzzle and breath a sigh of relief.

"Thank god!!!!!" He panted'

"Anyways" Sweetie belle continued. " To answer your question Twilight when you've had to survive by pick pocketing, sneaking into hotel rooms, and living out in the wild learning to defend yourself . You tend to learn a few new things about yourself, I was always quite the pushover not the type to pull a punch or fight back. But after everything that's happened to me It's about time that I stop being the pushover of the group and toughen up a bit"

"But this isn't the answer and you know it" Twilight replied trying not to shout out of fear of pissing off the filly. " look I know I was a jerk when I banned you guys without even hearing you out and maybe I do deserve this, but your playing with fire by working along side that insect. Last year she nearly ruined my brothers wedding and almost turned my friends against me so I kind of know how you feel about being abandoned. Sweetie belle your a good kid and I know it, I'm sorry for what me and the others did but please I'm begging you stop this now before you guys do something you'll regret" As Twilight made her statement Sweetie belle couldn't help but feel a slight bit of sympathy for the unicorn, but this was quickly withdrawn from her expression.

"I'm sorry Twilight, but it's too late for apologies" Sweetie belle said. " You guys really hurt us and the damage is done................" Before she can continue Dinky walked into the room.

"Sweetie belle" She began. " Sorry to interrupt but the queen needs a word with you"

"Oh? Ok thank you Dinky" She replied. " Tell Chrysalis I'm on my way"

"Okie dokie" Dinky replied with a little salute before walking out of the room.

"Snails watch over Twilight" Sweetie belle said to her tall friend. " I'll be back soon"

"Alrighty" He said, and with nothing more to say the young commander left the room to meet up with Chrysalis leaving the trio alone.

"Are you ok Twilight?" Snails asked.

"I had better days snails" Twilight answered with a sad huff. " I still can't believe all of this is happening all because of my stupid mistake"

"Don't say that Twilight , it wasn't you guy's fault" He reassured.

"Tell that to THEM pal" spike retorted but then took back his words. " Sorry didn't mean to sound like a dick, but after how harsh I was to them I doubt they're gonna forgive us so easily" After his statement Snails placed his hoof on the young dragons shoulder.

"It's alright Spike" He said. " Honestly I wouldn't blame you, Me and the others should have defended them too. But after Tiara threatened to spread our secrets too we just chose the cowards way and just let it be instead of helping our friends and now looks what's happened"

"Your not a bad guy Snails, and neither are Silver spoon and the others" Spike said. " If anything it's Tiara we should be furious at, she's the one who instigated this crap in the first place and manipulating you guys into helping her"

"True, but we still went along with it" Snails said sadly.

"And we chose not to listen or hear them out" Twilight replied gloomly with spike sadly nodding his head in agreement.

"Whats wrong with us?" Snails asked. "Are we really that terrible at being friends?"

"Maybe" Spike answered. " but the least we can do Is at least pray that they come to their senses soon and hopefully hear out our apologies"

"Amen, even if they don't forgive us right away the least we can do is make it up to them and show that we care about them" Twilight said.

"Your right" Snails replied. " It's the least we owe them. And by the way Twilight I'm sorry about last year"

"About what?" Twilight asked with a raised brow.

"When me and Snips helped Trixie" He said. " We were just so mesmerized by her cool tricks and stunts that we wanted to see more , so we went along and assisted her not even thinking about the ponies that got hurt or injured during her little magic show. We ended up following the wrong crowd and a few ponies got hurt because of it, and worst of all when she returned with the alicorn amulet in had we yet again assisted her but we should have realized how much of a terrible person she was or how terrible we were for going along with her in the first place like a bunch of assholes, and for that I'm sorry" snails said nothing more and hung his head in shame until he felt a hoof and a pair of claws on both of his shoulders causing him to look up and find Twilight and Spike looking at him with smiles on their faces.

"It's alright Snails" Twilight reassured. " Your young, you and Snips just went along with peer pressure and ended up with the wrong crowd, plus you didn't technically do much harm aside for helping to prep her stunts and magic tools you were pretty much her little servants instead if assistants"

"Yeah man I gotta be completely honest with ya, If I was in your shoes and I saw someone awesome like that I'd fall into peer pressure too" spike replied. " It was wrong to go along with her but you saw the error of your ways and apologized like a real man and I respect that"

"Me too" Twilight said proudly earning a big smile from the young colt.

"Thanks fellah's " He said happily. " I'm happy that there was no hard feelings, BTW Twilight did you really forgive Trixie last year?" after saying that an unsure expression formed on the unicorns face.

"Weeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll" She began. " It's complicated actually. I mean don't get me wrong I did forgive her after she apologized last year but a part of me still doesn't trust her, but hopefully she'll see that her magic tricks can injure someone and hopefully she'll try out some magic that's more harmless and less flammable or deadly"

"I'm sure she will" Snails reassured. " She did seem like she regretted everything after the alicorn amulet incident last year"

"We can only pray kid" Twilight replied and then came back to her senses. " OH!!!! I better get back to this lest I wanna heed the wrath of Sweetie belle" Then chorus of chuckles can be heard as the trio had a good laugh at Twilight's statement, while all seems dark and with little silver linings. As long as there's still friends around to comfort you there might actually be a silver lining after all.

"Want me to help you finish this? I happen to play a lot of warfare video games so I know a thing or two about strategizing" Snails said confidently earning a giggle from the mare.

"That's alright " Commander Snails" I got this, plus I don't think Sweetie belle would like it if you helped me" She said. " and listen about this little plan you guys came up with. Promise you'll be careful cause you guys are playing with some serious fire here and this is NO innocent game on the playground kid"

" I promise Twilight, I promise" Snails replied. " And don't worry everythings gonna be fine"

"I hope so Snails" Twilight said with a tiny bit of hope. " I hope so"

Meanwhile in town hall

"Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!" Chrysalis said with excitement as she showed off her new outfit by giving a little twirl. " Rarity my dear I must say you've outdone yourself with my new outfit, I look absolutely extravagant It is the definition of a queen"

"I'm happy you like it "Your majesty" Rarity said with the least bit of gratitude, while the young fashionista loved satisfying one o0f her clients and friends with a new outfit or accessory, chrysalis was another story especially with her nearly using every single material from her boutique for this insects royal outfit which disgusted her as those will cost hundreds to replace.

"However" Chrysalis began. " The battle armors could use some work, how do you expect my subjects to be able to withstand powerful attacks with these weak little things?"

"Well beg pardon "your majesty" Rarity replied with sas. "But I'm not used to working with these types of outfits especially metal, I'm more experienced with fabric or diamond like materials but that is it, so apologies if it isn't to your liking"

"Well grab a book about forging and try again!!!!!!!!!!" The changeling queen shouted further irritating the fashionista, but knowing that there was little she could do she reluctantly went along with this request.

"Yes your majesty" She growled earning a smug smile from the changeling.

"Good" She smirked and then spots her "personal maid" Mayor Mare finishing up dusting the last of the auditorium. " That'll do Mare Mare ........................for now" She then points to the mayors former aids. " You two escort Mayor Mare to the garden, the roses could use some watering and we got a little weed problem"

"Yes your majesty" The pair said sadly and regretfully escorted their former boss to the garden to tidy up back there.

"Sorry Mayor" The female aid said sadly.

"It's ok fellah's, you have no choice" Mayor Mare said sadly as she was escorted to her next cleanup job. As she and her former aids left the room Commanders Sweetie belle and Dinky soon entered the room as requested by the queen herself.

"Ah excellent you've arrived Sweetie belle" She said as the two friends walked into the room and after reaching her makeshift throne the two bowed to the queen.

"You wanted to see me your majesty? Sweetie belle asked as she and Dinky continued to bow.

"Yes Sweetie Belle" Chrysalis replied. " first of all I needed your opinion on my new outfit since your sort of a fashionista yourself my dear" She then showed off a bit by giving a little twirl much to the amazement by the two friend sand the annoyance of Rarity.

" your majesty I gotta be real with ya...................................................................................you look absolutely beautiful" Sweetie Belle said with an honest review much to the joy of the large Changeling.

"Yes you do look lovely your majesty green is defiantly your color" Dinky agreed.

"Awwwwwwwwww thank you so much girls" She said with big gratitude and them brought them into a loving hug much to the disgust of rarity . After a few seconds the hug ended and Sweetie belle spoke.

"However" she began." These battle armors could use a little bit more metal. After all we want our troops to be able to withstands attacks from the guards at canterlot "

"That's just what I was saying to your sister" Chrysalis said with a chuckle earning even more annoyance from Rarity." Speaking of Canterlot, that's what I wanted to talk to you about Sweetie belle. You see I plan on heading over to Canterlot to survey the town to ensure we have an opening for our upcoming attack, I'm gonna head over their in disguise in an hour and probably wont be back till morning so I need you and the other commanders to watch over things till I get back, and if there's any casualties while I'm gone I want you guys to tell me Immediately understood?"

"Yes your majesty" Sweetie belle and Dinky said in unison and then bowed down to the queen.

"Excellent" She said. BTW how are the battleplans going?"

"There going great your majesty" Sweetie Belle answered. " I think Twilight finally came up with a more useful approach, your gonna love it when you see it"

"I can't wait" Chrysalis said with enjoyment and then got up and prepared to leave the room . " Now if you'll excuse me I must prepare for my short leave, I'll see you girls soon. And Rarity I expect a more updated and stronger design for those battle armors , is that clear?"

"Yes your "majesty" Rarity said with disgust.

"Good" Chrysalis replied. " I'll see you guys in the morning then" and then proceeded to walk out of the building.

"Goodbye your majesty" Sweetie belle called out and then looked to her sister who continued to look on in disgust at her sister interracting with that horrible creature. " What are you staring at sis ? Get back to work"

"Sweetie belle............................................" Rarity began but was soon interrupted.

"Don't even start Rarity" Sweetie belle coldly replied. " Like I said to Twilight earlier it's too late for apologies, now get.........back...........to.....................work" With nothing more to say the fashionista returned to working on the battle armor saddened that her little sis didn't want to hear a word out of her, Dinky noticed this with a look of worry.

"Golly this is gonna be harder than I thought" She said in her head.

Another chapter bites the dust folks I was planning on finishing it as a little easter gift for you all, but it ended up taking longer than I thought but don't worry hopefully I'm not gonna have too much trouble with future chapters. until then I'll see you all in the next chapter see ya around folks

Out of curiosity, what kind of disguise do you think Chrysalis will use while examining Canterlot?

she'd probably just disguise herself as one of the royal guards

Good idea. That way she'll go undetected & not even the rulers themselves will know the difference. Since they're probably unaware of what's happening in Ponyville & who's back unexpectedly, they'll undoubtedly be in for quite a shock.

At this point the only way for the cmc to turn is if it’s revealed that the bugs double crossed them.
