As luck would have it, (well, mabey it's shouldnt be considered luck) his dad was once in the same boat. Discord realized it's about time he shares the story of his first date with Fluttershy.

Aww, this was adorable! The framing device of Discord (and then Fluttershy) telling their kids how they got together was sweet, especially with the way they teased each other a little towards the end. I like how their friends pitched in to help set up a good date, and how sweet and elegant the date itself was.
