It's Pony Season in Ponyville, but Elmer Fudd has come to hunt wabbits. Will Rainbow Dash be able to help him catch that wascawwy cwitt-ah?

Elmer Fudd is owned by Warner Brothers. Very minor sex references and violence, but not enough for a teen rating.

For the Who Crossed Over contest.

Thin, narrowed eyes squinted out from under hairless eyebrows, the rest of the pudgy face just as bare.

This is almost Zen. Can an eyebrow truly be called an eyebrow when it has no hair?

What did this fwicaseeing (actually spelled fricasseeing) wabbit do to earn her ire? Caused an alien invasion? Ripped holes in space and time? Ate a piece of her cake?

It's Bugs, so all are possibilities. Though I suspect Celestia's just jealous that he can get away with more pranks than she can. There's another story there.

... Okay, you lost me with inexplicably amorous Fluttershy and you never got me back. I know attraction can happen at the drop of a hat with classic toons, but I need a touch more justification with the ponies. Even with estrus, latching onto the bizarre, hairless creature? Really? The joke just falls flat for me. Also, you overplayed Elmer's speech impediment. It's like giving the Apples a phonetic accent; a little goes a long way.

I can't really buy the crux of the story, and so it doesn't really work for me. Also, there's a missed opportunity at the end; you could have had Bugs pop in for the last line. That said, Elmer himself is captured well. Thank you for your entry, and best of luck in the judging.

I do appreciate the image of Fluttershy doing a Jessica Rabbit cosplay, even though it came entirely out of left field.

(And I also appreciate the nod to how dedicated Jessica and Roger are to each other, even if it took me a few tries to understand that line.)

agreed about several points

The amorous Fluttershy was kind of πŸ™„ funny but not LOL funny

Definitely agree about overdoing Elmer's accent.

I think you have a pretty good Elmer Fudd...but I really felt this story is a missed opportunity. Making a shipping Fudd and Fluttershy is weird, not least of which because I think Fluttershy would hate someone who hunted for sport. Plus, there wasn't enough Looney Tunes style antics.

This is an OK story...but it felt like it was lacking.

Don't let this discourage you. I just want you to be better.

Bugs never made an appearance, he must have taken a wrong turn at Albuquerque.

I feel like the direction this was almost going was that Fluttershy was trying to seduce Elmer Fudd as some sort of ploy to prevent him from harming the local wildlife. (never thought I'd write those words in that order)

However the first thing she does is try to let him kill her pet, which might have been an interesting direction if the entire thing was just a ploy for the government sanctioned execution of Angel Bunny.

The main issue for me is that Fluttershy isn't really an antagonist to Elmer Fudd, so I would say this is closer to something like with Pepe Le Pew. Not quite though, because Pepe is definitely an antagonist. It's fine, but I never really found that style very funny.

Also I feel like Rainbow Dash could easily fill a Roadrunner type role.

If it’s angel bunny, I’m down for this! πŸ‘

Not bad. I spotted references to many of the best Elmer & Bugs cartoons "Rabbit Seasong" & "Duck! Rabbit, Duck!" & "What's Opera Doc" but Fluttershy offering up Angel Bunny to be shot is definitely OOC. Dash, or anyone else, might do it but Fluttershy wouldn't want ANY animal to be hurt.

Dressing in drag to distract Elmer from hunting is definitely in the spirit of the old cartoons, as is Elmer falling for it.

11128434 Pepe is the hero we need... :rainbowwild:

:yay: Then Discord turned Elmer into a carrot,,,

I had no idea what this story was like.

So I read it.

Now I have no idea what I read.

This story is most definitely dope!
