Glad you enjoyed it. There definitely might be a sequel, although I have a bunch of other stories on the list before that and I'm a bit of a procrastinator when it comes to writing so it might be a while.
I do like this concept though so it'll likely come up again eventually.
I'm sure this will end in rational responsibility, and definitely not any kind of abuse of power.
(And really, Daring, making this misadventure safe for work is simple enough. Just adjust the nature of the transformations... and fudge a few other details.)

Rational Responsibility is her middle name. Rainbow Rational Responsibility Dash, which is in line with all the other times her parents overestimated her character.
(She's mostly worried about all the OSHA violations. She's already terrified of the day the Equestrian government figures out that her books are non-fiction. Undressing in an old, dusty temple? Carrying heavy loads* for hours without observing the legally mandated break times? Untested magical substances right to her face? The fines for shit like that would eat her retirement fund!)

Ok, so many times I find people writing stories based on good concepts that they muck up. Sometimes I find people quoting terrible concepts into stories that I somehow love to bits despite myself.
This is neither of those.
I love the idea of Rainbow joining Daring for an adventure that turns out to just be a normal dig without intended grand adventure because yes it’s a good idea because it’s believable though undeniably difficult to pull off interestingly.
I love mind control/identity alteration because of course I do. I also love every other character seeming to not notice that it’s weird and accepting that this is the normal they’ve always known because of course I do - normalization is basically a kink of mine at this point with Universal Acceptance being a thing that exists that I enjoy and that I will happily say this story is equal to in quality.
This story is just all kinds of good stuff that I enjoy and I just want you to know that and that you should feel very good about writing a sequel or derivation of this if you have the material in your noggin.

I'm glad you liked the story so much, both the underlying concept and the writing. Universal Acceptance is a good one, although I had that kink long before that one came out. Unaware/oblivious hypno stuff is my big thing and it'll probably slip into any story I write at some point.
We'll see what the sequel brings and how long it'll take me to get around to it, but I'm sure it'll have more of this kind of stuff.

Oh yes, I’m well aware of the ‘unaware’ genre. More so saying that public mass unawareness was a concept I was brought to by UA - while as before I primarily had been more into secluded unawareness of an individual in a private setting or individual unawareness in a public setting where you only have the lewd actor being unaware that they are being so while others are well aware.
All of them scratch itches, but certainly I find mad unawareness is an oddly rare one of the bunch. Pity: seems we’ll have to do something about that.
Once more, good show and have fun writing whatever is next on your list - sequel or otherwise!
