I'm just an average nice person who enjoys good stuff.

This is a basic summary of my imagined take on the cancelled Equestria Girls finale special, with a certain blue haired guitar player as the main focus.

Oh, and also accepting a fan theory.

Weird. I’m actually making my own S3 and the finale special is based from the cancelled finale

But I think it’s fine since yours focuses on Flash Sentry instead of Sunset

Good luck with your take.
What do you think of mine so far?

11082502
Have not actually read it yet

11082506
It’s up now, so you can see it when you’re ready.

What cancelled Equestria Girls finale special are you talking about?

This was pretty interesting. I wish that you took the time to write out a complete version of this instead of just providing a summary of it like you would see on a wiki, but still fun.

Gloriosa shows up with Timber, who apologizes to the boys for almost wiping them from existence and to the girls, particularly Human Twilight, for the ambush. Comet and Flash give him a kick in the stomach and a punch in the face respectively as a warning, and then Flash gives Timber a helpful piece of advice that he accepts: If he really wants a girl to like him, don't use her to show off.

Seriously, I cannot tell you how long I have been looking for a story where Flash punches that asshole Timber in the face!

Unfortunately, I just didn't have the patience to write a full out story, so this was the next best thing.

Consider that face punch a late Christmas present! You know the saying, if you can't find what you want, make it yourself.

And stay tuned, I'm writing an epilogue chapter, and THEN a sequel! With the ponies.

God damn it! That not only sounds awesome, it's something that a lot of people want to see! Why on Earth was that canceled?! ...No, I'm seriously asking you why. Why do you think it got canceled?

I hadn't heard of the EQG finale. Were any plot details released?

11105580
Maybe they just ran out of time.
Or perhaps they thought the final result would have been too sad for kids (which is a terrible reason).

11106072
Thanks for the link. Was the any other intel on this subject?

11107669
Sounded awesome though. I always wondered what happened to the human Sunset Shimmer.

11114128
As did I and many others.

Hey, could you by any chance use a different cover image? I prefer to have that art exclusive to my story so it doesn't get confused with yours, nor did I give you permission to use it.

Deal.
I sincerely apologize. I did not mean to steal it.

One day, a week before Halloween, Water and Heat announce to Flash and First Base that thanks to Metal’s income, they are moving to a larger house, and another family is going to be living with them there. Flash spends the next few weeks avoiding the Rainbooms as much as he can, raising a few eyebrows from them. The only other students he tells about his move are his friends Derpy Muffins and Micro Chips. When the family moves, Flash and Base are amazed. The house is four stories tall, and is the size of an apartment complex. It turns out that their housemates are Flash’s best friend from kindergarten to 6th grade, Comet Tail, Comet’s twin sister Moondancer (who Comet is protective of since he was born a half hour before her) and their parents. All the kids are delighted and embrace.

Why avoid them?

Wow, that escalated fast.

Well, that was a roller coaster.

A few weeks later, just before summer break, Flash, having transferred back to CHS, is sitting on a bench on the top of a viewpoint overlooking the city with his father Metal Gleam, who has come to visit for the next month and a half. Flash is unsure if he should ask Twilight to the end of junior year dance, since she broke up with Timber rather recently, or even if he should go to the dance at all. Metal tells his son to not let his unimportant self viewing hold him back, especially after having it proven false. Flash points out that anyone else could have proven Pony Twilight didn't wreck the Fall Formal decorations, and a voice behind them responds that no one else DID. The father and son turn to see Twilight standing behind them, having been told where they were by Comet and Moondancer and rode up on her bike. She asks for a moment with Flash. Metal, instantly understanding, stand up and gives his son a pat on the back. Before walking off to the car, he asks Twilight to not hurt Flash, and she assures him she won't. Twilight sits next to Flash and, having overheard him and his father talking, asks why he doesn't want to go to the dance. Flash responds that it feels weird, with Pony Sunset now gone and the world completely back to normal with all the Equestrian magic gone from the human dimension, including the girls' magic and Spike's speech, to which Twilight agrees. He asks if she misses her, and Twilight says she does, as do the rest of the Rainbooms, but she has lots of great memories to look back on. She mentions that Human Sunset is coming along immensely well in her independent studies, and has reunited with her and Sunburst's parents.

I thought he already went to CHS.

So he doesn’t have to think about his feelings for Twilight.

11319723
He briefly transferred in my idea here.

Heartbreaking, though I personally doubt they would've actually had Sunset leave the human world for good and cut off all contact with her human friends if they had gotten Equestria Girls a proper finale. I doubt they'd spend several movies, specials, and shorts focusing on the girls' friendship if Sunset did get permanent separation.

Heck, Forgotten Friendship even has Sunset get her memories of the human world back immediately after they're removed so that does imply to me that they wouldn't go for her cutting contact with the human world. Especially when we have pony Twilight still being in contact with the rest of the Mane 6 even when moving to Canterlot as princess.

Plus the scrapped Sunset is homesick plot for Friendship Games did end with her deciding to stay in the human world so that does support the idea that she'd be in the human world for the rest of her days.

I think even one of the writers mentioned Sunset's true home is the human world, so I'm positive she'd spend the rest of her days there (maybe becomes a teacher at Canterlot High) with occasional visits to Equestria and using the journals to message Twilight and Celestia.

The deleted homesick plot in Friendship Games also ended with Sunset choosing the human world over Equestria.

So yeah, not a fan of having Pony Sunset have to cut ties with the human world after so many movies and shorts worth of exploring her close bond with the Rainbooms. Feels like it goes against her character arc, that's like if Twilight cut off all contact with her friends in the timeskip for Friendship is Magic.

Also not a fan of you demonizing Timber, playing up Timber's worst qualities a lot as you're trying to make Timber look like he's on Zephyr Breeze levels of flirting and making him mean to Flash even though he never shows any sign of that sort of behavior in canon. Sure I don't like Sci-Twi/Timber either, but there's better ways of dealing with this by simply having him and Sci-Twi break up on amiable terms because they find out they lack the romantic spark. There's really no need to demonize him especially since the Sci-Twi/Sunset (which is more popular than Sci-Twi/Flash) stories are surprisingly capable of giving Timber a more respectful send off.

Like, does Zephyr Breeze also deserve to be demonized and then beaten up like you did with Timber considering Zephyr's way more of a creep than him?

Just a nitpick, but I personally prefer Sci-Twi/Sunset over Sci-Twi/Flash. Like come on, you can't tell me Sci-Twi/Sunset isn't a close dynamic after what the show gave us, contributing to why I'm not a fan of Pony Sunset permanently leaving and cutting off contact.

For the record, I haven’t even watched most of the EQG content, so that probably explains why I wrote this the way I did. I admit, I did go kind of overboard.
