Basically, the idea here is that Cadance, as the Princess of “Love,” is attuned to the feelings of love and passion of those around her. It’s very similar to how changelings like Thorax can sense other beings’ emotions, especially love. So when things got hot and heavy between Autumn and Sunburst at Sunburst’s house (which is in the Crystal Empire), Cadance and Sunburst felt their intense passionate feelings from Cadance’s castle. Combine that with the vivid fireworks display, and it was enough to push poor Cadance over the edge.
