What a sweet, poignant little story. I quite enjoyed reading it. I did notice one little error:

Why did they feel like they had to do this, usually. The unicorn never butted in, they were too scared, and didn’t want their parents to judge them like they judged them like they judged those ponies.

You accidentally repeated the bold words.

But overall, great job!

i'm trying to not fucking cry right now, this is exactly how I feel but in a worse situation with my parents and I'm just so upset and scared, I wish I had rain, at least it would be calming
