Nothing to see here. Move along. Move along. Don't make me call the Brute Squad.

Twilight Sparkle has been invited to the reading of the Will of a pony she never met, and she invites Trixie along. What starts out as merely an interesting mystery soon becomes more dangerous than they expected.

This is a side story to A Demon In Equestria. While it can be read alone, it will probably make a bit more sense if you read Demon first.

Please note that while this story occurs entirely in the world of Equestria, the setting has been heavily influenced by Dungeons & Dragons and the Pathfinder system.

The story itself didn't grab me so much, but I kept reading through for the fun, snappy rapport you have between these two.

The academic leaned over to give Trixie a friendly nuzzle, “Aww, I’m glad you’re here too,” she said, not noticing the illusionist’s blush

Poor Trixie, she continues to suffer due to the ignorance of her crush :trollestia:

“Trixie understands,” Trixie reassured her friend, “After a few days on the road, even Trixie begins to long for a larger bed and a hot bath.”

Though let's face it, you haven't exactly been complaining about the proximity to your traveling companion :trollestia:

“The first bequest is a flawless ruby, valued at two thousand bits. This wonderous gem is to be granted to Baroness Twilight Sparkle and her ‘plus one’ for services … yet to be rendered.”

"yet to be rendered" huh, how interesting :trixieshiftleft:

“You’re lucky you’re cute, Twilight Sparkle.”

:trollestia:

Trixie closed her eyes as she dropped her forehead against the ladder, “Trixie does not want to know.”

But I do :trollestia:

Not sure how I missed this when it came out, but it was a fun read.
