Thanks! Quite possibly if any of my vague ideas develop enough.

It's been over three months and I remembered this post. Just wanted to let you know that there is in fact a sequel now right here Thanks for the interest. Enjoy!

Love how this chapter does its job of showing the reader Twilight's condition, as well as setting up what happened to Spike both on its own and as it relates to Twilight! Everything's falling apart around her as a result of that one event, and what's worse, Twilight's aware of that fact! Loved this chapter a lot, and I feel a little bad for putting off reading this fic for some time, but it's time to remedy this! Can't wait to devour this whole fic!

God... This chapter hit like every stone in the world tumbled down on me, and felt every bit as crushing. Reading these opening chapters is like sliding my hand through a gauntlet of barbs and broken glass to reach a bottle of whiskey. If that's what you were going for then you succeeded in spade. Watching Twilight's life fall apart, and every little thing break away or blow back in her face was, again, miserable and grueling, but outstanding all at the same time from how raw and authentic the misery feels. Excellent, if but depressing, work!

Thanks. I didn't want to just throw suicide in as a plot device unless it was truly a believable decision for the character to make. I thought a perfect storm of bad things on top of bad things would make the necessary concoction... and also grow reader empathy...

Wow, celestia just casually ruined Twilight's life for no reason

Good thing totality has a mark that clearly demonstrates gravity. If her mark was a basketball or donut or something they would never have known

This ended up being refreshingly positive and humorous. And there wasn't even a comedy tag on it

Yeah, that is a silly discussion that is had in the sequel.

Thanks! You've probably noticed by now that this is about as happy of an ending as I can find it in me to write. :twilightsheepish: If you enjoyed the OC, I highly recommend reading the sequel.

Well I do love a classic "teen and jaded alcoholic failure with a heart of gold adult mentor" relationship. Learning from each other and growing together.

Held true to my adored teen and unfit adult mentor trope, this was, indeed, quite heartwarming and valuable lessons were learned by both parties. Nice.

Excellent, so glad there's a sequel, like Twilight I don't want to let go of Totality so soon!

Read on! The sequel is good but gets overlooked as a follow-up with an OC cast and no star power.

Applejack glared straight into her. "Ah invited ya over ta help with the harvest, not help yerself to the moonshine and fornicate with my brother."

Should I not do both would have been the perfect answer to that question

"Wow,” breathed Twilight. “She's so much better now that she's medicated. I'm really proud of her."

I find this funny that this is the more common and less crazy pinkie pie
