Princesses have this bad tendency to make everything they touch shiny, new and boring. But still the Everfree Forest remained, and Scarlet Script was in need of inspiration. He needed something wild and untamed, something dangerous perhaps that he could write about.
His trip takes an unexpected turn when he is followed back to the hotel by a bat pony filly. Everything else is put on hold as he tries to help her find her parents, which may require the assistance of somepony who works at that School of Friendship he hates, or somepony closely related at least.
What he discovers is that the filly's predicament may be much more dangerous than anything he could have hoped for, and it's up to him to finish her story before it comes back to bite her, so to speak.

Wow. This certainly was a fun story. Gave me a bit of nostalgia to the old adventure/SOL stories from S1. As 10921552 mentioned, I love your Zephyr and the voice and characterisation you have given him, like he is living a life of his own out from under the shadow of his "big-baby-sister's" fame. Definetely am looking forward to reading more from you!
This was a fun slice of life and mystery story! Scarlet made a good protagonist, and his efforts to help Rooby were cute. I liked the inclusion of Zecora and Zephyr, who aren't always featured in fanfics. It was a great mix of found family, comedy, and horror.

zephyr wasn't that bad, and had improved by the end of flutter brutter,his whole stick was he was afraid to ask for help and just ended up paralyzed from improving and hid his insecurities with false over confidence that came of as obnoxious,
what he needed was another episode where he moved on from rainbow dash, and he wouldn't be as hated as he became
it a shame the comics did a lot with him and made him way more relatable sad there not canon
