So we're getting just about everyone except Fluttershy. Makes sense. Hope to have some fun with the job system. I never got far with the DS version of FF3, but I know the bare essentials of the plot. I can assume this will borrow some elements from that version.

Indeed. And I know some classes that fit the ponies pretty well. I'm just gonna have to think of one for Spike.

Woo! There we go. Yeah. Should have known that they would start out separated yet again.

At least the starting ponies met up with Rainbow Dash. Hoping you'll enjoy the next chapter!

You'd think the castle residents would be less surprised after Rarity. But yeah, a lot of the early games have similar elements. Think its around 6 or 7 where things began to diverge more. Bur yup, now got our main human party assembled as of now.

Now this is what I was hoping to see. I can imagine Fluttershy would have had the white mage class should she have joined.

10924712
Yeah... But don't worry; Fluttershy's time will come in the future.

10925165
Yeah. There's always FF5, which thankfully has less of a death count. By comparison, anyway.

Said before that you are having a bit of writers block. I wish I could help more on that. I didn't get pretty far with my original playthrough of FF3; so I would probably have only wikis, playthroughs, and what I've seen of mobile titles that cross over the different games to go with. From what I do remember I have to say I'm looking forward to their experience with the Mini spell and how the ponies will perfect or experiment their new crystal abilities.

Welcome back! Definitly recognized the Benjamin and Randi shout outs, though the others flee over my head. Short but sweet tide us over. I have a feeling the presence of th Cloud of Darkness will be an ongoing concern to the princesses. Also like that Shining is pointed out here yive he'll be important to FF4.

Thank you. It's good to be back.

Those names other than Benjamin and Randi? I was originally going to have the names Crono and Serge from Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, but I decided against it.

Those names just sort of came into my head for some reason. I suppose I made some kind of mistakes.

Asuuming that's Xande who has grown more wary of the ponies. I can see that this story have some significance with Applejack in particular. I forgot they were going to get their first encounter with a different version of Bahamut here and looking forward to seeing their interactions with the Mini spell.

All throughout this I'm kind of picturing the ponies with 16-bit Final Fantasy style sprites in my head, particularly with Pinkie hopping up and down accompanied by SNES style sound effects. And yes, I know FF3 is actually NES. I've been playing a bit of Record Keeper lately on mobile which shows a lot of familiar characters in the FF6 sprite style.

As usual, It's good to hear from you. Know that real lofe can get busy. I do remember it was just after this section that I left off on FF3 and sadly never touched it since. Just too many games on my plate, although I could dig through my DS library sometime for camping trips given that I've expended all I could do with my 3DS library.

Almost forgot that the downsides of going into Mini form transfer to in battle. Expected more lingering with everyone's reactions to that, but otherwise good as always and I am of course looking forward to more.

As always, thank you for reading, Omega. It's good to have your support.

As usual, I hope things are going well for you. I've got a long trip tomorrow and going to dust off my DS copy of FF3. Hopefully, I won't feel too lost going back into it.

Well I'm glad I chose to get caught up recently with the actual game. Right now I'm at where Aria first shows up. I feel we'll definitely continue to see Dashie's fascination with airships. I like the detail with the fight scenes and almost forgot about the Tangies. I'm definitely curious what kind of strategy the girls will have adapting to Hein.

On another note I am going to try to work around to Stranger of Paradise eventually. Interested in just what they carry over from the original game on that.

Sweet. More classes. I admit the fire caves gave me some trouble during my last camping trip, but made a bit of progress since then. I also found out the Lali-ho common in the series was based off Hanna Barbera's "Impossibles" of all things, which was actually pretty popular in Japan.

Had a feeling what happened with Desch eould still weigh on them a little. See we got some early hints of the CoD too.

Gonna say that I kinda wish the show elaborated on Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon for more episodes after their change of heart. Know The fandom was tired of them, but I felt they could have done more with more plots that were all "Okay. we are changing our gameplan and how we treat others. Now what?". Maybe even go to the CMC for help on that.

All that aside, I of course recognize the familiar monsters. Again nice how we're seeing early signs of CoD, especially since she doesn't appear till the end of the game.

Heads up, I added some new dialogue in chapter 8.

Well! Twilight sure cut the knot there. If magic of the home dimension doesn't work, just use foreign magic. : D

I also see that Dashie has an early start on Dragooning techniques. I can imagine there's more to come of this prophecy that includes the ponies.

All that aside, Merry Christmas right back.

I had to edit some text in the last published chapter, because I just found that the Fire Crystal does not grant our heroes the Dragoon class. Sorry...

Nice moment with Applejack. I've been procrastinating a bit with my own playthrough of FF3 lately, but glad to see some progress here. Believe I was at Doga's Manor last and got a good feeling I'm fairly close to the end.

Made a little more progress today on my playthrough. At a spot with a lot of optional side quests, open area, and general exploration. Something I was thinking for this and future stories is that maybe party members could split up and cover more ground when doing so doesn't mess up the plot too much.

Are you going to be giving the characters in this story series original Limit Breaks or the game's equivalent to that thing?

Not sure, but you can bet that will happen in the next story or so.

Getting an early appearance of Xande and call backs to previous stories I see. Good progress. I will admit I'm a bit stuck with FF3 right now. I can't seem to beat Doga and Unei.

Getting closer to where I'm at overall. I like how the similar monsters between MLP and other Final Fantasys are noted.

Pretty anticlimactic but amusing fight with Goldor. Again, I do like how the Cloud of Darkness is getting foreshadowed to a bit early.

I promise you the next battle will live up to the hype.

11671230
I have a question. Have you reached Saronia and played through all of it, yet?

11671500
I got through there at least, but I think I've reached a stopping point for myself further on. I've got the basics of the plot at least. I don't always finish any FFs I do all the way. Yet the ones I did complete are 4, 6, 7, and 9.

This might be a long time away but I can already see Twilight refusing to do eco terrorism during the events of FF7 and instead stays at the base to research a way to create a energy source to replace Mako only to get captured by Shinra at the same time as Aerith.

Didn't expect Twilight to be separated. I had some trouble with this boss when I came to it and it definitely shows that they had a hard time here too.

So we finally get our introduction to Moogles and Summons. I almost forgot about the Behemoth being here. Funny enough I actually played Live A Live recently where there's clearly an off-brand Behemoth in a chapter that essentially equates to a Alien homage.

Still having some trouble trying to beat Orin myself. Like the reaction with our first Fat Chocobo there.

Probably good the Ponies seperated. They probably would have been less willing to fight. I also have a feeling that Bahamut battles will get tougher with each story and that we're getting closer to the end of this one.

11721251
Yep. Twilight and her friends may fight a lot of monsters, but only because the monsters have ill intentions. I know for a fact that they would never really do what the two magi had their human friends do.

Also, there's a very good reason why Bahamut is the king of dragons.

Nice fight. Twilight is getting the hang of summons. It looks like the final battle is getting closer, but I have a feeling there are going to be some twists.
