as for sunset i'll say cedar, or cherry, or hornbeam, or maple, or vine wood, and a hair from celestia as a core.
as for harry i would stick with Holly wood, but use a alicorn feather from sunset as a core.
also what kind of pony is harry gonna be? a unicorn? a pegasus? a earth pony? a thestral? a crystal pony? a crystal unicorn? or a crystal pegasus? i don't really care either way but unicorn or pegasus make the most sense, unicorn because his mother was one, and pegasus because of his natural flying talents, also if u make him a pegasus and have him visit Equestria at some point you can have sunset give him flying lessons and teach him about other wing/pegasus stuff Preening Etc. as a bonding moment.

Ah dumbledork he’s always a problem in most fics but was it done with the best of intentions or to manipulate. The Plot thickens.

no worries, you're doing just fine. I couldn't resist tossing in a "No offense" since it was a Sunset Shimmer fic. Poor mare goes through hell.
The trick with writing is to not worry about the downvotes. They're going to happen. There's going to be Naysayers (Neighsayers?). Like any craft, your first forays are going to be rough. Take it as a learning experience and refine your craft as you go. Nobody starts out, at any artisitic endeavor as a virtuoso. Take it from someone who spent thousands of hours practicing as a vocalist. I was horrible when I started, but I got better.
And so will you. And you're already pretty darn good.
