So far, the story looks intriguing, and the characters are realistic. I especially want to mention Sugarcoat, especially since this is my favorite shadowbolt. I hate that there is almost nothing about her and others in the canon.

Ohh, intresting! There drama and intrigue is there already. I know in the movie its pretty much given that Twilight leaves because she wants to experience friendship, but I guess here the Shadowbolts are having some time to grasp their head around the concept. All in all, exciting start, look forward for more!

Well, the plot is developing ... And I like this development! The "spy" atmosphere is well served, characters like Sugarcoat and Sunny fit perfectly into it.

Not sure if it's just me or the title is too on the nose but pretty sure I know the twist Cinch is Chrysalis, she created the Cinch persona and is secretly still running the Changeling gang out of the Crystal Prep Fallout shelters
Ok well clearly this is darker than I thought in chapter 1 Chrysalis didn't create a new persona and murdered the real Cinch and stole her identity though thinking about it is does suit the character better and explains why Cinch is such a manipulator.

I do wonder if the girls will ask Sunset to get Princess Twilight's help by asking about Equestrian Chrysalis, in hopes of getting some insight into how she thinks as counter parts think alike.
Intresting parallel with human Thorax turning informant, makes one wonder if after the Changeling Gang got busted up did all it's members quit like how the whole hive turned? If the parallels hold up then EQG Chrysalis is working for a bigger bad and has some colleagues that could be trouble.
I love that there's a lil bit of setting expositiom here and there,kinda give the magical equestrian beings a net in human world. I still dont really understand why Minuette is the one chosen to be a character here, but I'll stick around to find out. Cheers!!

Me neither tbh. She wasn't originally meant to have this much of a role in the story, but I kept finding more use for her.
I'm always intrigued by tales involving dark secrets within Crystal Prep Academy, and I'm really liking this one thus far!
I have a feeling the girls are going to find out the hard way that "legit spy stuff" is nothing like the movies.

Wow, what a quick end. I must admit, Chrysalis disgraced herself a little) The classic trick when the villain gives himself away, and the hero writes it down on the phone ... But other than that, everything is fine. And - I hope you are not tired of this - I once again praise Sugarcoat for intelligence and composure. I would really like to have a chapter of the epilogue, but, of course, it's up to you.

Chrysalis never really was that smart; her forte is more emotional manipulation. Something that Sugarcoat can easily outsmart. And let's not forget, this trick wouldn't have worked if one of them wasn't one step ahead.
Edit: I'm not particularly fond of that ending either, but this seemed like a natural conclusion.

While I do think Chrysalis is smart her ego and over confidence leads to her making foolish choices and failing to see her own mistakes. She smart but lacks any sort of humility and can't accept when she is wrong. Chrysalis is smart but she's not wise. While the EQG characters have had different lives than thier Equestrian counterparts thier core personalities are the same.
