I really want to know more about Sacanas, particularly in your AU. Clearly, he was both a sorcerer and a seer of sorts, but when? And what was he? Was he a contemporary of Grogar at the height of his power? Or did he live sometime in the pre-Unification era? SO. MANY. QUESTIONS!

Thanks much! I was aiming for a reasonable backstory that would fit the few scenes we're given in the show from that era (mainly Twilight's "visions" in S4's "Princess Twilight Sparkle"). I had to wring a lot out of the single line we're given for Discord's takeover ("he ruled Equestria in an eternal state of unrest and unhappiness").
And yes, "Fall of the Crystal Empire" is very cool, brief as it is!

Glad somepony got that reference, now I don't feel nearly so old...
So pretty much this is like a re tell of these events stories throughout the Thousand Years from the pillars trapping the shadow of pony in limbo and King sombra and The Disappearance of the Crystal Empire and a chaotic Discord reeking Havoc and then worse Princess Luna is started to feel like she's being ignored and feeling jealous towards Celestia then all the darkness and she became Nightmare Moon then Princess Celestia banishing her own sister and it all happens and a thousand years dang what of tough years and then we come up to the season 1 premiere of My Little Pony friendship is Magic still everything happens in that year so with that said basically this is where the Story begins anyway this was a pretty good retail of the story keep up the good work

What a piece! This was wonderful! Oh, I loved every word of it. The sadness, the tragedy, the loss, the grief, the sheer sense of hopelessness. But the most tear-jerkering thing in this story is, of course, Celestia and Luna. We’ve spent almost 8000 words of this story establishing their strong, harmonious and loving bond, only for that bond to be violently ripped apart at the end. It was beautifully executed. Thank you for this masterpiece.
