And so, the End of Arc 1.
There are questions still left unanswered. Some things I might've been a bit too vague about - there are things in this chapter I'm very happy with, things that I had to rework quite a bit because I wasn't happy with it. It shows, a little bit - but I've always been overly self-critical.
Ultimately, I'm satisfied with the Lady in Lavender, and excited to continue it. As it stands - the estimate is at least fourty more chapters, excluding chapters like Faulyn that are a bit...spur of the moment. I do promise that things will become less confusing even as other things become more confusing- and the story will answer everything, and I will always be in the comments to clarify wording or any misconceptions/questions you might have. I like to gush about my worldbuilding!
Anyways - this is a chapter I've been excited for for a while. So here's some small tidbits about it!
1. The Lavender Lament, as it is officially called, was the basis for this story, actually - and is vaguely referred to in Chapter 1.
2. I've been waiting to name-drop Ceresze (which is short for Cereliaesenea), and Frost's connection towards Grogar.
3. I've also been waiting to introduce the Lord in Violet for a while. He, and Twilight, going on should have more of a slightly forward focus - a little less the world reacting to Twilight, a little more them shaping the world.
So, stay tuned, folks. After all - there's still a lot to see.

Judging from what I could read, Fluttershy, was able to get through to Twilight and bring her out of it.
Celestia and Luna got blasted by rainbow power. lol
EDIT: Can't wait for the next Arc!

It was a pleasure editing for you, been a fun ride!
Absolutely hooked! Keep up the good work! I await with great anticipation
There is one thing that keeps me from becoming invested in cosmic horror completely; no matter what the protagonist does it accomplishes, they always lose. Even the grandest victory is temporary; eventually, the unknowable, unconquerable, inevitable devours all.
I am quite invested in The Lady in Lavender for one very simple reason; the lack of futility. Maybe, ultimately, the protagonists can't win. Maybe the five fillies and one thing are ultimately doomed to fail, but it doesn't feel like they are. It feels like they can win. I feel like they can win. And even if it's all, in the end of it, truly futile, that feeling of hope can carry far.
I love this story, and I am happy.

Same
Wait a second...is the Lord of void the same one who is Sunset's Grandfather? Or Great Great Grandfather. Honestly, this has me even more interested because I imagine their will not be redemption for some?

It makes me happy to know that you really enjoy the story - and ideally the conclusion will be a bit more thrilling than "everybody loses, the Lords are unstoppable." ;0

The only lords mentioned in this chapter are the Empty Lords, the Lord in Violet, and the Immortal Lord. Void is rather softly implied (but a bit heavier now,) to be Fraezen's father, and that Ceresze is Fraezen's daughter. Note me saying Fraezen, not Frost.
The Lord in Violet is the name for Spike's "monstrous" self, much like the Lady in Lavender is the name for Twilight's "monstrous" form.

Oh! Thank's!

It seemed like "aspects" to me, for the purposes of management. The Lady in Lavender is the actual... entity? The actual entity. But She can't meaningfully interact with mortals, because she's hungry. All the time. For everything. Food, knowledge, power, magic, friendship, everything. She devours it all.
But friendship can't be enjoyed that way; it need to be experienced, not consumed. So, the Last takes the form of Twilight Sparkle, an aspect of Her true self in which Her hunger can be contained. Maybe not totally, but enough.
In the same way, I suppose, that we would recognize your finger as "you," but would not call your finger "you." I hope that makes sense, because this line of thought escaped from me almost immediately.
Like every chapter, I feel like I only understand like 30% of what's happening, but wow, what a 30%

That's what happens when you have a cosmic horror story where the protagonist (or at least a major "friendly" character) is one of said cosmic horrors. It's impossible for a normal being to attain real victory against one of these beings, but that doesn't mean that they can't grasp victory against each other.
It's very difficult to write such a story and not just have it devolve into only being cosmic horror on the surface, though, since many of the characterization and story bases of the types of fiction people are used to reading and writing do not fit the nature of such things well, but when it's done well it can be a treat. Life is Magic is another MLP story that fits this, though the scale is lower than in this story (or at least, it seems to be).
This is AMAZING!!! The story has a little bit of everything, I'm no expert but from my perspective, every single thing fits together perfectly, in my opinion, this is one of a kind!
I guess you will take a break now that you finished arc 1 before starting the next one?

By the way, I forgot to mention it, but I love those images you put with the name of each chapter at the beginning. I love the style of the letters.

Yes.
Really, I don't mean to be sarcastic, but Frost is an entity unlike any that would walk the mortal world. Whether He has a hand or a paw at any given moment is not a question of fact, but a question of perspective. If you see a hand, He has a hand. If you see a paw, He has a paw.
Or perhaps it was an editing mistake, but I think my explanation is much more interesting.

Ain't nothing but a mistake!

The actual truth is a little more mundane than that, but a bit more exciting than just a typo. They're generally used interchangably for wolves, since they're generally humanoid and have opposable thumbs. Frost has taken the forms of creatures with more generic hands (ie minotaurs,) so at times he does sort of internally refer to them as hands since that's what he's lived the longest with.
