A little On-shot to The Dragonfly Hive that starts around three years before the start of said story.
This one's a bit of a test for me writing something related to romance and the first time as well, so I hope at the very least it'll be a nice bit of reading.
The Winged Thestral named Dusk Storm was always something of a loner and was never really into romance unlike his twin sister, especially after a really bad break-up. But fate wasn't done with him yet, for it all started the day he was assigned to guard the Royal Greenhouse in the courtyards of the Royal Place. There he would lay his one eye on something that would forever change his life, an Earth Pony Mare named Graceful Petals.

I'm not normally one for exclusive romantic stories - usually I'm more content with romance sub-plots during a big adventure - but this wasn't bad. It was a nice dive into the home lives of Grace and Dusk, who haven't gotten that much screen time in Dragonfly Hive as of now, so it was nice to be able to see things like how they met and who their families are.
I still noticed you have a tendency to put character actions on a separate paragraph from their dialogue, but I've brought this up before, and I don't want to keep telling you the same thing over and over.
Besides, it still doesn't take away from a very nice character dynamic. I really got a better sense for Dusk and Grace, and look forward to seeing more of them in Dragonfly Hive.

Dusk strikes me as an honorable warrior type; might be due to his accent - which I love, by the way
👍. From the way he talks, I expect him to be one of the more powerful fighters of the group - which he sort of proved in the chapters I've seen of Dragonfly Hive - and yet, it's backed up by a kind heart, best seen through his interactions with Grace.
Grace intrigues me as well; her generous side is really shown in full here, what with her caring for the rose and allowing it to grow even though everyone else didn't think it had a chance. Really shows a determined side to her that complements Dusk very well.
Relatable. From Trapper teasing Dusk about being an overprotective father to Star and Cap teasing Grace and Dusk about getting them some grand kids. It just really gave a sense of family familiarity that was just nice to absorb.
And I also liked how Dusk had a lot of family members; reminded me of a friend who had seven aunts, and all of them were very close with him and his friends. People with big families that love each other that much are really lucky.
